The absolute worst experience ever. I’ve patronized this establishment before. However, this time was horrible. For starters, I had an appointment at 3:30 for twists removal. I arrived at 3:20 and had to wait THREE HOURS before getting my service started. It gets worst, so the stylist said she has to wash my hair to make removal easier. During this process, she literally almost drowned me. My mask and shirt was soaking!!! I have never experienced hair washing like that before. The entire ordeal lasted over 5 hours. Mind you, this was not the time for the hair getting done. For that, I expect an all day event, but this is unacceptable. While I was sitting in my chair I heard another customer cursing her stylist because her neck was hurting and the stylist wasn’t willing to change the direction of what she was doing. Whew, that was an experience for the ages.

Called to get price info for braids. Was asked if I could come “now”. Informed person it would take me 45 minutes to get there, and said I would prefer to make an appointment. I was told if I came now, I’d be started in right away.

This was my first time visiting the gallery and I was very pleased with the service. The Salon was clean and the ladies were very friendly. I called to schedule an appointment and when I arrived it started on time. Throughout the braiding process Soda (the lady doing my hair) was very considerate of my level of comfort and made sure things were going as expected. As a business owner myself, I know that everyday service provided to customers will not be perfect, however, they certainly made a great first impression. I was extremely pleased with the service, loved loved the finished product and will definitely be going back for more styles. (M. Dee J. )

Service and speed was great. I love my hair; Vera did an excellent job! However, the 2 issues I have that I thought were strange was that she first told me my style would be $150 and then towards finishing up my hair, she asks me did I tell you how much your hair and I said yes, $150. She says its $160 because of the hair. I thought that odd but said ok that’s fine but you told me $150. The second issue is that they credit card machine is always not working. I’ve visited other African braiding salons over the past 3 yrs and they’ve said the same thing. Its always not working. Luckily I had cash on me today, but was anticipating using my credit card, not cash. My suggestion is if you prefer cash, say cash only and no credit cards. Don’t mislead clients thinking that you take credit card but actually it’s cash only! Otherwise, I’ll likely return but get that credit card machine working. Thanks

Critical: Cleanliness, Quality, ValueI started my locs here. spent 3 months getting my hair pulled out of my head and caked with thick brown gel while being sprayed down with spritz hold on top. Also had hair coming out of my head i assume from her not cleaning out the comb and intertwining it with mine because i certainly had no hair thinning and the hair coming out of my coil wasn’t mine at all. it was much longer and wavier. I didnt realize until today at a new loctitian, what good healthy comb coils feel like after. they blow in the wind literally. not just sitting heavy and hard on my head. Overall they do great work but don’t get your hair done when the owner is not there because the ladies that are braiding will overcharge you if you have collarbone length hair. They charged me 320 for bomb twist and this being only the second time getting braids from a shop I didn’t think about it and when I went to take them out they charged me a hundred. The owner was there and I told her how much I paid and the lady that did my hair said I didn’t pay that. I had to pull out my bank statements to prove that I was telling the truth. After that the owner which had great customer service offered to give me $20 for a refund after I paid an overall a $490 including both times I tipped which is way too overpriced. Buyers beware!

So I’ve been getting my hair done at Rallys for more than a year now. They are very good when it comes to braiding especially their bomb twist. What I don’t like is when you get anything other than bomb twist, they give you what you think you wouldn’t notice. The last time I went, I wanted micro braids done and I wanted it done small so that my hair would be fuller. They did the front portion small and the other lady did the back portion huge so that they were finished with me in about 4 hours time. I kept it and made it work for about a month or more. I then went back and spoke to one of the ladies, stipulating that I wanted to get my hair redone and the actual size I wanted. She told me No they cannot do my hair because it would take too long. She said to me that I’m coming on a Friday morning to get my hair done and weekends are their busiest so if I wanted the style done, I need to come back anytime Monday through Thursday. After that episode, I will NEVER patronize their establishment ever again. Now mind you, I used to pay $250.00 to get my hair done and still tip them and extra $40.00 for their job, but my money wasn’t good enough because of the length of time they’re saying it would take to get my hair done.

Was a regular here and recommended others because of speedy service and I got just what I wanted. However, the last two times were drastically different. I asked for two strand Senegalese twists on the phone, they said great! Come on over, but when I got there no one could do it. Had to get regular braids. Second time I wanted passion twists. Took forever to get started. Got there at 7, was still waiting at 9. Braider finally got started and the passion twists looked like long bomb twist stitches coming out of my head. I didn’t want to sit through another hairstyle I didn’t want. I asked the braider to take them out and ended up doing it myself at home.
