Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityMegan Martino did a phenomenal job on my eyebrows. She was extremely warm and friendly, and extremely competent. She takes her art very seriously, and is committed to making sure that you have the best possible results. The color, shape and size of my eyebrows compliment my eyes perfectly and I couldn’t be more pleased.the picture I’m posting was on the day of my 6 week touch up. I’m still in the healing process now, but I am confident that the end result will be great. Megan is great about communication and urged me to contact her should there be any issues. Megan Martino did a phenomenal job on my eyebrows. She was extremely warm and friendly, and extremely competent. She takes her art very seriously, and is committed to making sure that you have the best possible results. Critical: QualityI have been a customer here for a few months and i was giving them the benefit of the doubt but I will not be returning for eyelash extensions. The problems is that what they use for their lashes are very cheap quality not long lasting at all the woman who put on my lashes put clusters of lashes together instead of putting them on a individual lashes which your supposed to do! I feel as if they do not care about their clients it was my first time having a new girl doing my lashes and not to mention she took 25-30 minutes for a set (usually 1-2 hours for a set for it to be lasting and good). After my service my eyes were burning for the first time which made me skeptical that the girl that did my lashes did not care about my lashes! I added a facial to the mix for good measure. May I say that the massage by Melody was unbelievably amazing? Well, it was. My facial, which was done by Becca, was also amazing. I am so relaxed I don’t quite know what to do with myself other than to rest and relax! THANK YOU! Kudos to Becca who greeted us at the front door and whose warm demeanor and professionalism added to my lovely experience. Today, October 30, 2021, my husband booked a massage for me at the Rain Spa in honor of my upcoming 11/01 birthday. I added a facial to the mix for good measure. May I say that the massage by Melody was unbelievably amazing? Well, it was. My facial, which was done by Becca, was also amazing. I am so relaxed I don’t quite know what to do with myself other than to rest and relax! THANK YOU! Critical: ProfessionalismI was hesitant about posting a review of my experience with eyelash extensions but after going to Mirbeau and having an amazing experience I felt compelled to write my review. My husband had bought me a a gift card so I decided to make an appointment for lash extensions. My first red flag was when the owner, who was applying my lashes, was not even on time for my appointment. She didnt arrive until 15 minutes after my appt started. Then I thought it was strange that the area where they apply the extensions is right in the front next to reception. The area is covered in a white see through drape. Very strange for a spa because I thought the purpose was to be able to relax and not be bombarded with constant noises. While she was applying my lashes she was getting up to assist the employees who were arriving. Then a woman came and sat in the room with us and she proceeded to have small talk with her. She apologized saying this morning was hectic. I was like ok whatever. But then the barber comes in and starts having a conversation with the owner who is still applying my lashes. He asks her if she wants to come outside to see his new whip. She proceeds to stop doing my lashes to go outside and look at his new car! I could not wait to get out of there. It was the most unprofessional spa experience I have ever had. I went back for one fill to see if my experience would change. I tried another woman to apply my lashes and she did a much better job. I’ve been a customer since their early days and always have great facials from Mikayla. She is very skilled and the premises are beautifully appointed and clean. Staff is very friendly. Living in Manhattan, the prices at Rain (and La Tua Bella Beauty Bar & Bello the Barber Room, next door) are excellent, too! My hair and skin have never looked better!
