I decided to switch things up and go somewhere new for a haircut. While the end result of my haircut was decent but not my favorite, I was let down by the atmosphere and the staff. The barber who cut my hair was very rough–he kept combing the perimeter of my forehead and pulling at my hair. Who goes to a barber to look all scraped up and red like that, and how can you so blatantly dig into your client’s forehead and scalp with the comb? Does the fact that I’m now all red along my hairline indicate nothing to you? … Now I know each barber has their own technique, but it was clear to me that he lacked the swiftness and delicacy that one expects during any haircut appointment.
