Although I have no one to compare her to I can tell you with confidence that Avani is simply the best at what she does. If you are considering getting dreadlocks check out her website for every stitch of information you will ever need. I drive over 2 hours for her to do my hair and she never rests until the job is done. Amazing talent, super knowledgeable and a friendly spirit. Thank you Avani for all you do!

Unfortunately I never visited the shop for I live out of country but if there’s anyone you should speak to for advice and help on your roots and locks it’s this shop right here. Buying my first motorcycle I wasn’t sure what size helmet I should go for but after searching 2 minutes or less I stumbled across their sizing char for different types of dreads. Couldn’t be more helpful. Bless.

This is a fantastic studio! The fine ladies at raging roots know dreads inside and out. I’ve had dreads for three years and have unfortunately moved out of their area, but my dreads have never looked as good as they did when I was getting them maintained here. I’ve visited several other locticians but none came close to the knowledge, passion, and talent that Amy and Meg have.

The best place on the east coast to get your hair Twisted n locked. Super professional staff I’m so happy I’ve gone here twice and they’ve done nothing but great things with my locks. MY locks are about 20 years old and they take care of me everytime I go highly recommend this place for lock maintenance and starting new locks

Avani is very knowledgeable about certain products that you should and should not be putting in your dreadlocks. She gives you flyers with the harmless ingredients of essential oils that help with scalp and hair care. Avani’s locking techniques are official. I love my locks! Go see Avani!!

The owner is incredibly skilled and friendly, prices are quite reasonable, and the shop has a great selection of locally made artisan soaps/shampoos and hair accessories, as well as incense, essential oils, artwork, etc.
