It was a VERY confusing experience for me at this salon. I visited the salon yesterday evening. The place was clean and bright inside with really nice decor. I didn’t have an appointment with them. I told the lady at the front that i would like to get “Acrylic full set” and I was seated right away. My nail technician was a guy. I picked the color which was the No.123 from the chart which was natural TAN, he went and grabbed the jar of the No.123 which supposed to be very natural color but somehow it turned out grey ish. And he never opened that jar of color i picked until he finished doing my nails.

I needed a last minute basic mani pedi for an event and my usual place was booked so I called around and booked the first place that had an open spot. On my third try, Raffine had an opening so I immediately said ok. I’ve been here before several years ago and they did a decent job then, but the place was surprisingly empty when I came in and only two nail techs were there. It’s as I remembered, with large comfortable massage chairs and a good selection of colors. My nail tech was very nice and even redid nails when she made a mistake, but the attention to detail was lacking. The polish wasn’t pulled to the very edge and sealed, which meant uneven looking ends when you took a close look. I directed her when I could (some nails were blotchy or missing polish on the sides), but I still wasn’t very satisfied with the end result. The filing was uneven, which I asked to fix where I noticed. The thing that bothered me, and it’s my fault because I wasnt paying attention, is that my cuticles were pushed but not cut, which left ridges of cuticle at the base of all my nails – to be clear, the cuticles on the side of the nail was cut, but not the base. No cuticle oil or anything was put either, so I came home with dry, crusty, cracked cuticles. The pedi was ok but the mani was something I could’ve done way better at home. A basic mani-pedi was $50, which is standard fare in the area.
