I used to go here frequently but have gradually become fed up with the job they do They have repeatedly cut my hair shorter than what I ask for, and it’s gotten worse every time. My haircut today was the last straw. I asked for there to be 1.5 inches left on top and 0.5 inches on the sides and back. He just buzzed my entire head. There’s just a millimeter of hair left. Worst thing is, he didn’t confess to the obvious mistake both he and I knew of. Don’t get me wrong, these guys are nice and are very serviceable and friendly. They also make their shop have a very unique and pleasant atmosphere, which is great and all. But if you’re getting a haircut you’re getting it for your hair, and Raeford’s has not been a good option for me and my hair at all, and it has only gotten worse and worse in quality cuts over the past three years. So now I’m calling it quits.

If you come here prepare to sit back and get a great cut. They go the extra mile here and I cannot recommend a place more! Walk ins are what they take… a true classic in every since and how a barber shop should always be! This place is history alive and it hasn’t changed and shouldnt. Forget the gimmicks this IS your oldschool barber and thank god for it! Get the shave and bring cash… they accept card but bring cash!
