I made my teenage daughter’s initial appointment after much discussion surrounding the age-old dilemma- to relax or not to relax. My daughter was giving little to no effort toward the upkeep of her hair and, being at my wit’s end, decided to acquiesce and allow her beautifully curly strands to follow those of the many lovely locks that came before hers (including my own), into the embrace of that magical amalgamation that guarantees “bone” straightness and resistance to of reversion to any known source of moisture. Yes, I had resigned myself to allowing her to get a relaxer. BUT, rather than simply tying on the cape and slathering on the potion, Raquel took an active interest in my daughter’s age, the health and texture of her natural hair as well as my concerns. Raquel is prompt, professional, and most importantly a highly skilled and seasoned stylist.
