The attached photos are from the first day of getting my hair braided. I went to Queen Braid on Sunday, October 1, 2017. This was my second time going to this braiding shop. This time, I was amazed by how quickly the braider finished my hair. It took her less than 3 hours. Throughout the time I was in the chair, I kept asking her, are these braids long enough? She assured me that once she finishes, the braids will be the length I wanted. I did show her a picture of my braids from my first visit, so she was aware of what I was asking for. Fast forward to when she completed my hair. They were too short and they looked as if I had them in for two months already. The owner was not in the shop at the time so I immediately called the phone number listed on Google for the shop. Aja did not answer so I left her a voicemail, asking her to call me. I then proceeded to send her a text message with these same pictures. How can your employees send customers out with this quality of braids? This is totally unacceptable. A while later, Aja called me and asked what is the problem. What is the problem? Really?! Did you not see the pictures I sent you. These braids that I JUST GOT look like i’ve had them forever and never used a head scarf or cared for them at all and I just paid $200 to look like a skallywag. Aja then told me to come back on Wednesday October 4th because she would be in the shop and would personally redo my hair. Y’all, I took off work to go get my hair redone! This is important. You know how important hair is to a Black woman. Not to mention I spent my money, good money, to get quality braids done. Anyway, I arrived at 9 am sharp. Aja was not there. So the lady who initially did the poor job on my hair called Aja on the phone. They went to speaking in their language. The lady was hollering on the phone and giving me the side eye at the same time, so that let me know they were talking about me. Anyway, the lady says Aja is running late but she will be here soon. She says Aja told her to get started but Aja would be in soon to finish it. I’m thinking, cool. I’ll just let this lady undo this mess and Aja will be in to redo everything. I get in the chair and old girl playing like she doesn’t see a problem here. Questioning me, like these braids don’t look old as hell. Lady, if you don’t gone ahead and take these braids aloose. So she gets started playing in my hair. I say playing because it felt like all she did was shake her hand thru my hair for a few minutes. Then enters Aja. They all speak in their language, all the while looking at me with the side eye. Aja comes and stands in front of me and says “what do you want”. Really lady?! Why we gotta keep doing this? So we finally get past the REexplanation of this abomination. Aja then begins to play in my hair. After all of that, I walked out of that shop with my hair looking EXACTLY THE SAME as it looked when I left the first time. Y’all, I took off of work for these people to play with my emotions and my money. But before I left I pointed out all of the mistakes, again, everybody acted as if I was hallucinating. I was livid! I had to shed a few tears. I have sent so many people to this shop and this is how they played me. Never again!

I love my free style thin braids. It took about 5 hours but they were very busy on Good Friday . My daughter got Box Braids 3 weeks ago, she loves them. Ms.or Mrs QUEENA you and your ladies are AWESOME. I also met some new buddies/other ladies that were getting their hair braids. We were live at five like it was a family reunion. LOVED IT.

It came out well but I paid $10 extra for them to wash my hair and they only used aussie shampoo and didn’t even touch the scalp.

I enjoy coming to this braiding shop . My hair always come out great . The owner is a real business lady and does not expect anything less than great customer service from her employees and satisfaction from her customers. Everyone there is talented and I always go in confident in any stylist that does my hair.

Everybody in the shop had a horrible attitude, The clips used for my hair were dirty. The place was unclean with hair all over the ground. Even with a booked appointment i had to wait 2 hours. Don’t waste your money here. Dreadlocks

My daughter has very thick hair but they get her in and out. I have never experienced damage to her hairline or hair.

Got feed-in braids… she didn’t use gel, the parting wasn’t crisp straight. She slapped moose on when she was done like that was gonna do something for my 4C. Very rushed and dont care about their clients because they’re “ready to go” . It looks like I’ve had them in for a month.. and I can tell they will only last a week. $110 wasted. Won’t be going back. Good luck to future customers.

Yeah the staff is nice but their prices does not match their expertise or their craft I don’t even think they have a certification. they’re just going off the fact that culturally we know how to braid hair and so they think that’s enough. It’s not!!!!!!!!!!! I paid 40 dollars for two not blended cornrows!! She didn’t even get the part in my hair right and staff let me walk out like that. I’m on a trip to Miami with very important people and my hair is a Joke !

They need to work on customer service. The owner and the lady that was braiding my hair was having an argument while braiding my hair. That made her pull my hair even more. My head was so sore.The lady in theback could not braid. The braids was inconsistent. I didnt like that the lady put one strand of my edgesin a braid. I took it down if not i wouldnt have any edges. I paid $200,,but i dealt with it..Im not waisting my money anymore.
