I recently had a cut and funky color experience at Queen Bee Hair Company. Ryan was my stylist and I was very happy with him. First, I have naturally curly hair and finding a stylist that knows how to dry cut is rare in my experience. I always try to get very little hair taken off, yet invariably end up losing 2 inches of length. Not this time. I wanted to cover my old color that I’m growing out with something wacky and Ryan put our mutual favorite color on the ends. I’ve not actually taken a walk on the wild side before, but he made it easy. And I loved it. I got many compliments and know that I’ll be back at some point to try my second favorite color. And not only was Ryan a very cool, easy going guy, but the other stylists there were super friendly and uplifting. It’s nice to see them supporting each other and enjoying themselves.

I’ve never been to a full on salon for a haircut and certainly not for a color. I called and they set me up with Ryan. I’m horribly indecisive so I just showed him a few pics of what I liked. Let me tell you- he worked wonders on my hair. I left happy- he didn’t talk me ear off- which I appreciate but still offered good conversation. He put 6 straight hours into my hair! Didn’t look tired or complain once! Very gentle with my hair too- I’ll be seeing him again for sure!

I don’t like change so I have worn my hair long for my entire life, and only had it cut short once, but cried for a month afterward. I have never honestly loved my hair cuts. Sometimes that is the fault of the stylist not listening to me, and sometimes my own fault for just being unwilling to except change, but usually both. Well…let me tell you…Ryan gave me the first cut in my entire life that I am still happy with the next day when I had to style it myself. I look at myself and can see an up-to-date style instead of just plain long hair that I Bobby pin back or throw a pony tail in. That’s right! Ryan cut my thin long hair to shoulder length with a perfect layered style and it is absolutely beautiful! When I called Queen Bee the first time and explained that I have severe anxiety about my hair being cut, and that I can be difficult, they knew exactly who to set me up an appointment with. Poor Ryan. Thank you so much for finally listening to me and making me actually feel great about my hair! Can’t wait to go back for color next week!
