Critical: Communication, QualityMy sciatica was acting up, so I decided to give Qiqi Wellness a try. Its close to my house, and was well rated. I’ve been getting massages for years, and know exactly what I need for relief. As such, I instructed the masseuse to focus on my shoulders, lower back and glutes only, being very specific to advise her not to waste time on my arms. When she went to massage my arms half way through, I reminded her that I didn’t want my arms massaged. I directed her to my glutes, and even those she did around the edges. I had to instruct her again, and then she finally massaged me correctly for a full 5 minutes. By the time she switched sides, she had forgotten my instruction, and didn’t do my glutes properly, but by then, I realized she wasn’t listening to me, and wasn’t going to give me the massage I wanted, despite giving her repeated instructions mid massage. At the end, she once again went to my arms, and spent the last 10 to 15 min barely giving me a massage at all. When I gave her a tip less than she expected, she protested, and I had to explain to her why I was giving her the tip I did. She kept saying, next time I’ll do it better. Here’s an idea, do it right for first time, especially when the customer is giving you specific instructions. Needless to say, they have lost my business.
