If I could give her zero stars I would. My medium hair length haircut (1 inch below my ear) took a total of three hours. I came into the salon on time, only to find that Paula had double booked me because she had just came back from Vegas…. But I had made an appointment a week prior. She said come back in 30 minutes and I’ll be ready. Came back in 30 minutes and she was working with a new customer… then she apologized and said she will comp me for a conditioning treatment…. I said no, I was doing hair donation and it must be clean and dry (therefore I washed my hair before my appointment). She was nice and immediately said why don’t I cut your hair for your donation first. She cut my hair then moved me to get my conditioning treatment, like an assembly line. She continued with her client, while I started with my treatment… after the treatment, they just left me there… hair half cut and wet… I waited and waited and no update on time, the guy that washed my hair came back to check up on me, he said not to worry just relax, Paula will be right with you…. Then he told me how hungry Paula was and how she didn’t eat lunch… and he heated food for her and I had to wait for her to finish eating…. And after she was done, I still had to wait before she finally cut my hair…. In between the haircut she still answered the phone and etc (I understand as a small business that we all need to do that sometime but my time is also valuable). After the haircut she still have the nerve to charge me $75.00. Her rates were $45.00 to $60.00 for a medium cut and $15.00 for a wash. Firstly I declined the treatment, secondly I don’t see how you can do the treatment without washing my hair. It was a good haircut but I’m never going back again. I wouldn’t be as mad, if she had just rescheduled.

As a young man this definitely feels like a place that is catered more towards women but my hair cut was quick and extremely well done. Just asked for a tapper of 2 to 4 around the sides and back and she did an amazing job. I feel like 30$ is a bit steep but I honestly can’t complain. They did an amazing job and I was able to get the cut the same day I scheduled it online. It would be nice to have pricing lists available online. Just want to add a note too that everything is getting more expensive and from other barber shops I saw online, other shops probably would have charged me 40$. So my personal opinions aside, I have to give 5 stars. Extremely friendly and welcoming. Very professional cut and atmosphere as well as everything looking and being extremely clean.

I got a long hair cut + wash + styling for $75 and I love the result! I will definitely be back. I showed a picture and got exactly what I wanted- long face-framing bangs with some layering. I was so pleased with my appointment with Paula, she was so helpful and gave me some amazing advice for my hair. May hair wasn’t the healthiest and even better I decided to cut my own hair two months ago, I couldn’t stand how uneven my hair was and the color was very boring. I haven’t done my hair in a salon for years but Paula made me feel so comfortable, She let me express the things that I wanted and gave me some great ideas for what will fit best for me. I didn’t really want too blonde of hair because I didn’t think it would look good but Paula opened my mind and I am so happy with the results. Now I am ready for my birthday trip! Thank you Paula <3

Paula gave me such a good impression. She was so friendly and legitimately cared not only about my hair but me as a person. She is very good at what she does. I originally went in for a haircut and she suggested a conditioning treatment which was definitely needed I walked out looking like I was given a brand new hair set lol. I live in Castro Valley but I am moving to Brentwood I will definitely be travelling down here from Brentwood just to see Paula. When you find a great hairstylist you stick with them. She has amazing products and is very educated on what is good and bad for your hair. She gives quality care and so does her products.
