I recently got my haircut here for the first time. It was a good experience, I liked that I could book online. They have a variety of levels of stylist with different price ranges which is great! I went for a simple cut and they did a nice job. I also bought a shampoo the stylist recommended and it all cost less than $100 before tip. I appreciate that they are also trying to be more sustainable, would love to see some items in the salon that have plastic free packaging or refill options that would really set them apart. Overall I really liked it and would go back for another haircut or maybe try another service. They do book up a while in advance so make sure to book at least a week before you want to go!

I haven’t had a bad hair day in 3 weeks! Emily Phillips has been doing my hair for just over a year and has recently joined the team at Pyara. I have never been so thrilled with my hair cuts and color. The way she frames my face so my curls look fresh is really impressive. I’ll follow her anywhere!!

This is my second time going back to Pyara for a haircut. I don’t go for anything fancy, but just a layered cut. I loved my stylist Jackie, highly recommended. She listens to what I want, takes a lot of care in her work and very friendly. Sure, the salon may be on a little expensive side but you can have a wide range of stylists from different price ranges to chose from.

I’ve been getting my hair cut here for years by the amazing Jesse, but decided for my engagement photo shoot to try the make-up service. Normally I don’t wear a lot of make up and this was my first time having it done professionally, but Kymorha asked all the right questions to help me explain what I wanted. She put me at ease right away and made the whole experience so fun! Each step of the way she checked in with me to make sure I was happy with the look, and everything was spot on, from the color choice to adding just the right amount of glam details. The final result looked stunning and I’m so impressed by Kymorha’s talents! I highly recommend her and you can go with confidence knowing you’ll get the right look for your special occasion! I also added on some light hairstyling at the end for beachy waves, and could not be happier with the whole experience!

Critical: ProfessionalismWent to have a gel manicure and for the prices there the treatment was awful! I am not expecting a red carpet or champagne or caviar but little chat in trends, and/or colors or ideas is always welcome. This lady was rushing me from the beginning, got mad when I decided I wanted my nails filed a little more, showed her a picture of what I would like and she said there was not time for it! I wasn’t asking for complicated art, I asked for two nails to be painted different! No extra glam or sparkles or complicated patterns, just two nails (4 nails total) painted different! Her attitude was terrible! She called me “undecided” which I was but instead of helping me to make up my mind (like a nail technician normally does) she just got upset and everything when down hill from there! She rushed me out of there because she had another appointment, when I left, there was nobody waiting around! Conclusion, terrible customer service, extremely expensive ($65 + tip, yes, I gave her a tip!). I was extremely polite throughout the entire ordeal, I said I’m sorry when I changed my mind about the shape of my nails and I didn’t argued when she said painting 4 nails different color was going to make her extra late for her next appointment, she did paint the nails different out of… not sure why but apparently she had the time to do it. This was my first and last time there, never again!! Yesterday I called to book a time for haircut. I have been told(I didn’t asked) haircut will cost $145. My hair is short. I am a nurse and I am working with very sick patients including Covid patients and I never got paid $145 per hour considering my work difficulty. The price is not fair no matter how good and professional you are and if people earn their money easier than me and are willing to pay this amount good for them enjoy your expensive hair cut.

I have been coming here for years but will no longer be returning. Highly unprofessional. Had a haircut booked for Friday and gave them a call to let them know I was running 10 minutes late due to traffic from the impending snowstorm. I asked if it was okay that I was 10 minutes late and was told yes of course we have a 10 minute grace period and that they would inform the front desk. Upon my arrival I was told that they wouldn’t be able to take me because I had been scheduled between two color appointments and the stylist no longer had time. Of course being late was my bad but #1 why tell guests that you have a 10 min grace period, #2 I should have just been told to reschedule because I wasted over an hour of my time trying to get there and back #3 I didn’t book myself between two color appointments the salon did. Furthermore when they rescheduled me they did not offer to reschedule me with the same stylist I had originally booked with, and AFTER booking me I was told that I would be seeing someone at the same level so “the price would remain the same”…. I would hope so…. Come Sunday I receive a voicemail from the salon telling me they were not able to open due to the storm from the day before which was fine and understandable however at the end of the voicemail the receptionist leaving the message says “who the hell’s phone number is this”… the unprofessionalism is next level. I have the voicemail saved. Not to mention when I have been the last couple times the salon looked unkept and dirty like no one even cares enough to sweep. I kept returning because of the convenience of the location in proximity to my house but even that can’t make up for the eh decent haircut and lack of professionalism. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
