PURRRR WAX BAR

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityThe location is not ideal but I wanted to support a black owned business. When I entered the suite, the woman there couldn’t 1) tell me which room was A and 2) tell me the name of the wax lady. The wax lady comes out of one room and directs me towards her room. I enter her room and there are no chairs for me to sit and no area for me to place my items. However, she later informed me she was waiting for chairs to come in. I sit on the table and position myself for a Brazilian. She wasn’t talkative and didn’t ask me if I had any questions so I started asking her questions about the wax and the process as she stirred the wax. She then placed the wax on me and the first three strips I barely felt anything when she removed the strips. I actually felt more pulling on the hairs when she applied the wax vs when she removed it. Because it was near painless upon removal, I was excited and asked the name of the wax and she told me how she liked the wax and found it on YouTube . After the first few strips on the inner thighs, she tells me that she ran out of wax and need to melt some more . As we wait for the wax to melt, she began extracting ingrown hairs. Once the wax was ready, she laid the strips on the inner thighs again. I asked didn’t she wax those areas already and she said they were clean up strips. She then started to lay the wax on the lips. The wax was HOT at this point! I tell her multiple times the wax was hot and she begin to blow on it. I then notice she was laying large strips on the same side at the same time. It all dried together in one big piece on my lip and she attempted to remove it but it didn’t move and it was PAINFUL! She look at me ask me “did that hurt?”. In which I replied yes and asked her to remove in smaller pieces. All in all, this session was over an hour for a Brazilian wax and she only removed 80% of the hair. She left wax and hair on the inside of my lips. The inner thighs she claimed she was cleaning up on still had hair there.- I’m disappointed. I really wanted to support this black owned business yet instead I entrusted my private area in the hands of someone who isn’t serious about this profession.In short I believe she is not licensed, is a YouTube waxer and I will not be returning!
