This review is for the spicy stylist Juanita, at Pulse Salon. I have trusted my hair with Juanita since March 2019 (writing this review in October of 2022). At the time she was recommended to me by a friend for being able to amazing hair color transformations. When I first walked into the salon it was extremely busy and bumbling with lots of positive energy, with all the chairs taken and lively conversations happening. I was greeted by several people and offered a drink. I had been seeing a previous stylist for years before braving out to try someone new. I could not get over the attention to detail with my coloring or my cut during my first visit (above and beyond my former stylist). The scalp massage during the wash was unworldly. Then my hair was styled in such a beautiful fashion. I asked about products but never feel like products are being pushed onto me. I always leave Pulse feeling fantastic about my hair. Additionally, I am willing to drive over 2 hours round trip for Juanita, I can’t imagine trusting someone else with my hair at this time. It is so healthy and long because of Juanita.

Juanita did my hair and did an amazing job. I had a close friend recommend her and I’m super happy with how my hair turned out. She was quick to let me know that she would make sure I was happy with my hair before I left which was super nice considering the other salons I’ve been to have never listened to me or helped meet my needs. Vernon was also incredibly helpful with understanding the vision I had for my hair and helping Juanita better understand it as well. Will definitely be coming back.

Miyuki was AMAZING. The first photo below is literally what my hair looked like BRUSHED before I came to her. It was so damaged, and just felt like it never looked good. I’ve always been nervous to get my hair cut or changed so I rarely let anyone touch it. I have never felt so confident after leaving her chair! I showed her an entire Pinterest board with a bunch of photos that all looked a bit different from each other and because I never get my hair cut or done I didn’t know how to word it. She somehow (maybe telepathically) knew EXACTLY what I wanted and brought it to life! She lightened it for summer, got rid of any dead parts, and gave me the most gorgeous layers and bangs after I hadn’t gotten even a trim in YEARS. She’s so fun to talk with and so funny, and everyone at the salon is so kind and welcoming. She’s so fair with her prices. She is a true professional who knows EXACTLY what she is doing. Thank you again Miyuki!

Like all the other reviews say: Juanita is awesome. I came in with a red hair color gone wrong and really dry hair from a previous salon, and she was able to make it look like it never happened! She made sure to check in with me every step of the process and answer any questions I had. I have nothing to complain about because she made sure to ask me all the right questions and communicate with me everything we needed to know to be on the same page. My color correction ended up taking the entire day, so she even let me order some food and eat in the chair while she did my hair.
