Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI go to this salon regularly and it is far and away the best place to get your nails done in town. Khye at the front desk is a breath of fresh air. So helpful and kind. But the best thing about Prose is the artists! They are all amazing here, but Corey is my favorite for everything from hard gel and tips to pedicures! She is meticulous and leaves your hands and feet looking absolutely perfect every time. I book her months in advance to make sure I see Corey, she does the best work. This place is like a second home, I come every week because of the awesome memberships and they all know me by name. Shout out to the amazing manager Alexis who keeps this place in tip top shape and always has a smile for everyone. I go to this salon regularly and it is far and away the best place to get your nails done in town. Khye at the front desk is a breath of fresh air. So helpful and kind. But the best thing about Prose is the artists! They are all amazing here, but Corey is my favorite for everything from hard gel and tips to pedicures! Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueHad a regrettable experience at Prose this weekend for my wife’s birthday. I booked a manicure and a pedicure for both my wife and me. I’ll start with the price discrepancy, but it’s the least of my worries. When I booked online, it was $190 total. Upon checking out, it was $230 because it’s an additional $10 per service for non-members. That’s hella shady for people booking online. You should market the full price and then offer $10 off each service if the patron signs up for a membership, not upcharge $10 after the services if the patron chooses not to lock into a membership. Seriously, a really weird way to do things.Second issue was the woman taking care of my wife’s services. She couldn’t have been more annoyed and disinterested the entire time – it was actually incredibly uncomfortable for my wife, but also for me being next to her. Just a really odd energy, like we were a nuisance for being there.Biggest issue I have, though, is the fact that the lady painting my wife’s nails used a shellac top coat (unbeknownst to us at the time) and didn’t cure it appropriately. We realized this about 30 minutes later when her nails were very sticky. We called to see about getting it fixed and they said we’d have to come back tomorrow because they were booked for the rest of the day. This was appalling to me – they messed up, clearly, and wouldn’t let us come back to get them fixed until the next day? That’s awful service.Next day comes, we have something unexpected pop up and can’t drive 30 minutes out of the way to return to Prose to have her nails fixed. We call twice right after they open, they don’t answer either time, so we leave a message as instructed. We asked that since they couldn’t fix it yesterday right after it happened, and that it is an inconvenience for us to drive that far to get it fixed the next day, that they merely refund that one manicure.Here we are three days later and no call back. Terrible service and we will never return, nor will we recommend this company to any friends or family. Way too expensive for this weird experience and awful follow-up. Just wanted to treat my wife to something nice for her birthday and you couldn’t have failed me in a worse way. My appointment ran on time, and the salon is taking all the necessary precautions to stay safe and healthy during COVID. The salon is very clean and they made sure to space out their stations to allow social distancing. Christian did my nails and she did a fantastic job. My toes look amazing and she also gave me an SNS manicure with tips. It has now been 2 weeks and my nails are still looking perfect! I had a wonderful experience at Prose Arcadia. The service was great and they couldn’t have been nicer. My appointment ran on time, and the salon is taking all the necessary precautions to stay safe and healthy during COVID. The salon is very clean and they made sure to space out their stations to allow social distancing. Christian did my nails and she did a fantastic job. I won’t be going to any Prose again. I will say that the manager tried her best to make things up to me but the people working for her just weren’t people I want to be around. An employee even laughed at me over the phone when I got upset.
