Critical: Professionalism, QualityIf only I could click zero stars. I have never had an experience with a nail salon as terrible as this. I went in on a Friday at lunch for gel polish and by 5pm they looked awful. I called to make an appt to have them fixed (WRONG MISTAKE). I left in such a fowl mood after my interaction with whom I assume runs the joint. I asked the lady that fixed them if I owed anything. The guy comes over and asks “why would you not pay?” so I said well the job that YOU did only lasted a few hours… I even left you a very good tip. He pretty much called me a lier without saying it. He said that he was not the one that did my nails because he had done nails for years and this has never happened. VERY unprofessional. He needs to find another career because running a nail salon in Highlands, NC is not the place for him… update on nails… 4 days later and they are already cracking. Will never go there again. There are a lot of bad reviews but I work in town and go there pretty regularly and have not had an issue with bad quality polish. My gel always lasts 2 weeks and establishment is clean. MUCH better than the two places in cashiers for sure.

Had a Gel pedicure done by a lovely older gentleman. He was gentle and thorough. I was a walk-in and they were very gracious to accomodate me last minute. Will come back again! Pedicure

Critical: Professionalism, QualityI was astonished when my gel polish barely lasted a day. I woke up the next morning with the polish peeling off. I contacted the salon and they were gracious enough to do an edit of the four nails that were peeling. HOWEVER, three days later, the nails that were not edited began to peel. I contacted them again and asked for a redo, I could not figure out what the issue was and why the polish would not stay on my nail. My theory is that the salon was overbooked and she did one less coat of polish than what was needed, thus, they were very frail. The associate, clearly irritated, kept stating that she had never experienced this with other clients. Well, this certainly was not my first gel manicure, I had never experienced such poor quality in a polish before either. Upon “redoing” my nails I wanted to pay, at least in part, for inconveniencing the salon with the extra time that needed to be devoted to fixing my nails, the associate told me she didn’t want my money, that she would rather that I never make an appointment with them again. I certainly don’t want to go anywhere I am not welcome. I did not wish to be difficult and complain for the sake of a freebie, I was just shocked by how unprofessionally the situation was handled.Service: Gel manicuresI was astonished when my gel polish barely lasted a day. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueTried a few times in support of local business, however, had 2 unpleasant experiences and will not be back, not recommend. Two techs fought rather loudly while I was there. Next time, friend from Atlanta was overcharged by quite a lot for an SNS manicure and gel pedicure. No pricing listed and when she went to pay, she was charged $150! When I called to inquire about prices, I was quoted $55 forSNS and $45 for pedicure. Not sure how they got to $150, but she paid instead of making a scene in front of other customers. Highly recommend going over hill to Teri’s Nails in Cashiers. Great service, FAIR prices and no hassle.Services: Pedicure, ManicureTried a few times in support of local business, however, had 2 unpleasant experiences and will not be back, not recommend. Critical: ProfessionalismWalked in the shop at 6:15 and saw two customers getting a pedicure and manicure and asked for a pedicure. I was told they were closed. I replied with your card says your open until 7 and the lady never looked up or responded. Very unprofessional.

I came in on a slow weekday, since the door said “walk-ins welcome.” I asked if they had time for SNS or gel, and was told “no time for that,” with an eye roll. However, someone else took me (I couldn’t tell you her name, because she didn’t speak to me the entire time I was there). I asked for a manicure; I received no cuticle care, filing, or even some lotion thrown on. She did my SNS within 20 minutes and pushed me out the door for $50. I’m a local and won’t be back. Go to Creative Concepts and spend your money on locals who care. Waste of money and time!

Their tools were not cleaned properly, I saw tools that were used on me used on the next person. The towel they put down had dead skin on it from the previous customer. They didn’t put on a base coat, and the top coat they did put on started peeling the same day I got my nails done there. Overall, they are lacking in cleanliness and I won’t be going back.

I received the best foot and lower leg massage I’ve ever had during a pedicure. The shop is very clean with an upscale yet comfortable vibe. My sister and I get pedicures together and we will definitely come back! Very friendly and professional staff.

After 3 of us tried many differently salons in the Cashiers/ Highlands area we can tell you that this salon is awesome. It’s very clean, professional, and they work very hard to please you. We all got dips on our fingers and polish on our toes. They were very friendly and focused totally on you. I would highly recommend this nail salon.
