Critical: QualityThis place comes highly recommended, so I hope my experience was just a really bad day. I went in to get my hair colored and cut. I asked for very blended highlights (which is what I usually got with no problems at my previous salon) because I don’t like the chunky look. He assured me that it was no problem, but I came out with thick tiger stripes. I would have had them fix it, but my experience with the cut really killed my confidence. For the cut, my hair was totally uneven. The right side was 1 inch shorter than the left (NOT because of a style I was asking for), and the back was jagged and completely uneven. I asked for them to remove some of the bulk from my ends, and that ended up with some sections having varying layers and one section in the very back having none at all. I asked them to fix it, but it just kept getting shorter with the same problems.I eventually just called it quits and paid to get my hair redone elsewhere. This place comes highly recommended, so I hope my experience was just a really bad day. I went in to get my hair colored and cut. I asked for very blended highlights (which is what I usually got with no problems at my previous salon) because I don’t like the chunky look. Critical: Punctuality, Quality, ValueSomeone recommended Nick to me so I went in for conditioning and haircut which included shampoo, and blow dry. It was an interesting experience to say the least.I walked in right at my appointment time and Nick was already cutting a customer’s hair so he had me wait for about 15-20 minutes. His partner/colleague arrived and Nick explained to me that the customer he was assisting was actually his partners and he mistakenly started helping her thinking it was me. I found this a bit odd because he didn’t ask for her name, and the customer also didn’t say anything. Once he finished cutting her hair, he asked her to wait for his partner to finish up her blow drying.Nick assisted me with shampooing, and gave me the conditioning treatment complimentary – but I will say that I was under the dryer for MAYBE 5-7 minutes. Usually it’s 15-20 minutes. Anyways, I tell him numerous times that I want to keep the haircut I currently have and just need a trim…he looks at all my layers and says he cuts hair exactly like mine was already layered and spoke very highly of his skills since he has been doing it for 14 years.While cutting my hair, his next client arrives and he asks me if I still want to get my hair blow-dried. Since I made an appointment with him, I expected a blowdry from him. He wanted me to get my hair blow-dried by his partner but decided not to because I was already there for almost 2 hours.So I leave after paying and blow dry my hair when I get home to find that my hair is unevenly cut at the bottom and he cut off more than 4 inches, made the front very unevenly choppy and gave me a completely different haircut from when I walked in. I kept asking him if he needs to part my hair the way I do because everywhere I go, they always ask me to part it accordingly when getting layers but he kept saying it was unnecessary.I personally would not recommend anyone I know to go to this salon because of my experience. I take good care of my hair and to have it ruined just isn’t fair.
