I have been to more than a few nail salons over the years. This is the best I have been to- the ambience is soothing, from the decor to the music. The ladies who work there are both professional and pleasant. The prices are good. The basic pedicure that I get also comes with a nice little massage and exfoliating. This is definitely the spot I’m sticking with!

I normally don’t take the extra time to write reviews, but I feel like this matter needs to come to attention. I am a regular here and have been for the past 6-ish years. I mean, that is a long time to have been coming here for that many years. I don’t know if other ‘regulars’ feel this way, but lately I feel as though I am not wanted to get my nails done here anymore. The business has been here for quite some time, so I’ve heard, and has gone downhill in the past couple months I would say. Besides the ladies that have been there ever since I became a customer, the new-er staff do not take the time to provide a friendly customer service. There used to be a younger face at the desk scheduling all my appointments for me and recognizing my concerns or just simply taking the time to chat with me briefly during my time there. Of course, there is no need to do so, but I like to see the happy smiles and friendliness. It is not easy working in that kind of environment, so I try to be good to my ladies by providing them an easier service- not picky at all and I usually try to tip way over what is expected. I schedule my appts way in advance and end up waiting sometimes over forty minutes at one point. Why do they overlap the schedules? Then when I am provided the service, it’s always rushed. For the price I am paying, that shouldn’t be the case. I don’t know if it is just me or if anyone else is feeling this way. On a side note, one good thing about this place is that most of the employees all have been here for many years so you will always see familiar faces. Just miss the way it used to be.

Princess Nails used to be a wonderful place for me to go and I have been a loyal customer for the last five years. I booked my appointments using the same nail tech, and even after I moved from Ardmore to South Philadelphia I continue to drive and utilize their services and maintain my loyalty as a customer. In the last year their services have deteriorated, there has been racist activity, and the final straw for me is when I walked in for my 1 PM appointment with the same nail tech that I’ve been using for the last five years….. A white gentleman walked in at the same time I did and the owner assigned him my nail technician and told me that I would have to “soak and wait, or he could assign me another nail tech”. I explain to him that I had just confirm my appointment prior to driving and that the other gentleman did NOT have an appointment with my nail tech, so why couldn’t he be assigned the “ other tech”. He shrugged his shoulders and said that “ the white man comes first”. I will never be utilizing their services or patronizing their business again. Please look at the CURRENT reviews on yelp before deciding to patronize this business based on reviews three or four years ago.

Critical: ProfessionalismNails are super nice and done really well but the price was disgusting. He took advantage of me and my friends because we were first timers and didn’t know any better. The amounts we payed make 0 sense and are actually absurd and not worth what we all got. Came here yesterday with my 10 year old daughter..i received a refill and pedicure with gel and she got a basic manicure and pedicure..Was charged 180.00..After I paid (upfront ) I felt taken advantage of..I asked the manager , who was extremely stoic and unfriendly how much he charged for my daughters nails..I guess he thought about it and gave me 10 dollars back..The service itself felt rushed and four different people worked on our nails which I found unnecessary..the nail tech that was doing my pedicure was complaining in Spanish the whole time about having to remove the previous gel polish..Little did she know I’m fluent in three different languages and understood everything she was saying ..I tipped each one 5 dollars, which by their reaction wasn’t enough..so a total of 190.00 I spent for mediocre service and rude nail techs..Won’t be back..DO NOT RECOMMEND!
