This was my 2nd time with Melissa aka the smooth stylist, and as I was hoping she did amazing! When I first went in I was just going to get a standard fade but we talked it over and we did a mullet! I went in for the first time to get a skin fade ($40; $35 for a basic cut) after seeing how they opened recently last month and having another location in Keizer. Victoria was my barber and she did a good job on my cut. The after service, not so much. When it was time to pay, she pulled out her Square payment processor device and I promptly used my credit card (she told me no Apple Pay), then chose my tip amount for the service. Here’s where I was baffled. After coming home later that day, I saw my email and noticed I tipped a flat $18 rather than the chosen percentage. I called Victoria (as she had given me her card) and explained the situation. She acknowledged my concern and issued a refund with no sense of sympathy. (I understood she was with another client at the time of call).
