Robin has been doing cuts and highlights for my daughter and I for years and I highly recommend her if you are considering going to PR at Partners in Shirlington. When I first met Robin, I was a victim of damaged hair with lazy styling and highlights —I could barely look at myself in the mirror anymore. Robin saved me from those horrible chunky highlights that day and she has been leaving me with beautifully colored, styled, healthy hair at the end of every visit, and I trust her judgement explicitly. I also bring my teenage daughter to her for cuts—she has wild curly hair that was also very dry and unruly. Robin has worked with her trying different cuts, treatments and styling products and her hair has been totally transformed. Styling matters aside, Robin has amazing stylist rapport and I truly consider her a therapist in so many ways (and she knows this :)). I had been searching for a stylist like her in DC for 20 years and I am so thankful to have crossed paths with Robin!

Overall I had a good experience. My stylist was awesome she matched the color I wanted to exactly what I asked for and it was a quick and pleasant service. BUT when it came time to check out I was charged much more than I was supposed to be. I booked my service online through their website. After booking my service I was under the impression my service would be $115 without tip. After checking out and getting home I saw I was charged $150 without tip. When I called the salon they insisted my service was $150 even though online says differently. I’m extremely upset that they would have such misleading prices on their site and even more upset they did not honor it since it’s their mistake. Up until that I would be been ecstatic to come back. I’m very disappointment with how they handled this especially since it was my first time going there. Someone needs to fix their website and update their prices asap!! Don’t book online it’s inaccurate!!

Only giving two stars because Andre saved my hair after a completely botched coloring job from Lina. I decided to try here because the price for balayage was cheaper than another place I’ve been to a couple times in the area. I showed her several pictures of what I wanted which was really just lightening up my brown hair, for spring, and I specifically said I didn’t want to see streaks from highlights or be super blonde. She convinced me that she could give me the look I wanted by doing highlights not balayage, which should’ve been the first red flag. After she washed my hair I came back to the seat and could already see it was way brighter than I wanted. She had given me platinum blonde streaky highlights that literally didn’t go with my natural hair color whatsoever. I was so panicked and said this was way too light and not what I asked for, and she calmly told me she could just wash out some toner and it would tone things down. Well, it didn’t. It made my hair about 4 different shades of brassy green and orange. I was left speechless as she didn’t acknowledge how awful it looked, but called Andre over who she said would fix it if I came back tomorrow. Clearly she knew how bad it looked but I didn’t even get an apology or any accountability from her. Luckily Andre was able to fix it the next day to the point of looking presentable, but it’s still not what I asked for/envisioned and I can’t believe I paid ~$300 for it. I wish stylists would admit when they don’t know how to deliver on what the client is asking rather than making them go through this terrible process. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this salon.

I was able to book an appointment with a junior stylist very quickly, for a cut and partial highlight. The salon was clean, professional, and the stylist listened to my every preference. I left with one of the best cuts and colors I’ve had in a while. They were also very transparent about price, which in the DMV can really range.

Not worth the price for basic blonde highlights and haircut. I’ve been to three of the stylists; I live very close by and the convenience was hard to pass up. Unfortunately I was not completely satisfied each time. I went today and waited 20 minutes. Then through my color/haircut the stylist was juggling another appointment, so I felt very rushed and she never asked if I was satisfied. The blow dry assistant I was passed off to was very inexperienced. I paid $235, not including tip; she maybe spent 7 minutes on my trim.
