Critical: QualityI did a bridal makeup and hair trial at Posh. The girls were really nice. However, both my makeup and hair did not look good.It seems they may not have experience with olive skin tones or thicker hair.My makeup was a few shades darker than my skin color. My dark circles were not concealed at all. I lost definition/cheekbones after the makeup. The makeup overall looked very messy and just dirty – like I had dirt on my face. Also, it looks nothing like the picture I showed.For my hair the stylist didn’t apply any heat close to my roots so I was still a bit frizzy and did not look polished or put together at all. The hair do didn’t hold up even through the makeup session. It was falling apart as soon as it was done. Also in the beginning I asked for loose wavy look but I got a very curled prom look.It felt like they didn’t have experience with olive skin tone or thicker hair.They were very nice though!Update: they fully refunded me for the service. I booked Posh KC for my bridal hair and makeup, as well as bridesmaids, family and flower girls. Everyone’s hair and makeup was awesome – my updo and makeup lasted all night without budging and looked perfect in photos. We were the only group at the salon that morning and could bring in our own coffee, breakfast and even stuff for mimosas. Thanks Posh for starting my wedding day out right!

Kianna did my hair. I am natural and I wanted my hair washed and conditioned and blow dried and braided into straight backs so my hair could go under my wigs and protective styles. Kianna was super nice and did a great job. Everybody in the shop was nice and offered me water and champagne. Kianna was on time (she was actually early because I was early too lol). She was quick and was accustomed to working with natural, Black American hair.

I did an updo for my wedding and had no problems at all (and I usually do with updos!!) I also had Alissa curl my hair for my rehearsal and it looked amazing – my hair is fine and straight and never holds a curl, but it lasted amazingly.Jules did my makeup and was so kind. She listened to what I wanted and made me feel really beautiful.
