My hairdresser sent me to Popcorn Beauty for hair extensions after I showed her how I wanted my hair styled for my wedding. I have never used hair extensions nor have any knowledge about them. The staff was extremely helpful and worked hard to find me hair extensions that matched my own hair. Couldn’t have been happier with how the extensions looked with my own hair!! Thanks to the staff for being so patient with me and spending the time to make sure I had the best match!

This store is a total rip off & racist! They don’t check their products to see if it’s already opened. I bought 4 adore dye yesterday and only used two to see how it would take to my hair but it didn’t so I returned the other two and when I left the bag in the front to look for something else they said they can’t take it back because it’s “opened”. I’m talking calmly to the man that I didn’t open it and he’s saying why am I getting loud when I wasn’t! I will not be spending anymore money on them as they horrible when it comes to customer service!

Well after reading some of these reviews, I will be very hard pressed to shop here any more. Racially profiling people, yelling at customers, not allowing an exchange to be made if the customer is dissatisfied…..HUH? Disgusting business practices. Really a shame because this place is clean, well organized and pretty much has anything you might need for your hair, lotions, wigs, extensions, jewelry, etc. The owners need to take heed of these terrible and disturbing reviews or they will find themselves closed because of lack of customers.

Great products, terrible service. I shop here a lot. Today I was followed around the store, then when I made my purchase and was leaving, one of the employees pressed a fake alarm button and asked to look in my pocketbook. I refused. The owner told her to let me go and guess what? No alarms went off. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

They have a huge selection of hair care products and accessories. However, you can’t even try a headband here. They look at you as if you were going to steal or something. Was trying headbands on my daughter because some are adult size and they are too big for her, they told me not to try them on her! Ended up not buying any. Very uncomfortable to shop here.

It’s a high quality Beauty supply chain…the store (massapequa) is always clean and there’s always a ton of people there to help you… it’s the only place I go to now. They really set the bar…and get your discount card. You get cash back.

I find good products here and so far no issues with them except for one experience I had with one of the black male workers stocking up hair products. As I was looking around, he began stocking shelves behind me and walking back and forth doing his job. Because I was standing in an aisle I naturally moved aside to allow myself room. After a few times, he says to me “you don’t need to move, if I needed you to move I would’ve said excuse me”. I chose to ignore him. It happened again and this time his tone of voice was louder and more aggressive saying “I told you already if I needed you to move I would’ve told you” I decided to leave that aisle as I have the right to move for my own comfort as well WITHOUT anyone’s permission. His tone indicated to me that he was looking for a reaction and perhaps confrontation and I feel that ruined and ended my shopping experience. I’ve shopped at the store again but try to be quick and make sure there are other female shoppers present in the aisle with me since the store is usually empty.

I had a horrible experience at Popcorn. I am a customer of the islip store and now massapequa for many years. I just purchased exstention hair that was the poorest quality.It was a 100 dollars for garbage …didn’t even seem like human hair!!

I purchased stuff from here several times trying to give them a shot. Everything they sell isn’t the real product. I’m spending all this money and they take out the real product and replace it with fake cheap stuff. These Asian men are scammers and need to be stopped and reported. BE AWARE. Do not waste your money here, buy your stuff from your local salons. This is ashame because they have a lot of stuff but not real 🙁
