The salon was gorgeous and felt welcoming immediately. Everyone was super friendly. My hairstylist Blair was the best. She was warm and welcoming, and listened to everything I wanted. Her skills were polished and she got my hair done quick. It’s been a week and then some and my hair still feels soft and happy. The products she used smelled and felt great. I would recommend this shop to anyone who wanted to change up their hair. Or just want to have a good time at the salon.

This was my first time here and it was wonderful. I felt like everyone really listened to what I wanted and took the time to figure out my specific hair type. I got the exact cut I wanted and the perfect color. Everyone was extremely nice and professional. Cory did my color. I’ve always been brown and sometimes I feel it can be really one dimensional. She took the time to layer in color and toner in a way that gives a lot of depth- which is what I was hoping for. Brittany did my cut and got my bangs exactly perfect. I got all the layers I wanted. My hair feels lighter and there’s so much movement in it, but I got to hold onto a lot of length.

I first tried Pony Salon a month or so out from my wedding. I wanted to test them out with enough time to make any adjustments and possibly have them style my hair. I went in for a consultation before making my appointment because I was unsure of what I needed and I wanted their advice. I was met with a super friendly receptionist who introduced me to Heather the stylist and haircut specialist. She was excited for me and my wedding, knew exactly what I needed to schedule with some great suggestions on doing a gloss the week before. Because I was having a remote wedding I planned to restyle my own hair so I was a unique case where they would style it in advance and I would need to recreate it. Heather did an amazing job taking all my needs into consideration and hooked me up with Cory the colorist. Once doing my initial color (Cory) and cut (Heather) they blew me away. I was so happy with the results that I booked the styling and gloss before leaving the salon. Coming back for styling, Heather was so patient and explained all the steps, even gave me a few extra tools to help me do my hair. She did such a good job that with all the stress of the wedding day I nailed the style in 85% humidity!! Needless to say I have found my Oakland hair salon! It seems all the hair professionals there know there stuff and definitely stay up-to-date on latest techniques. This was the main reason I left my old hair dresser. I wanted folks who where passionate and knew their stuff. After my essay of reasons for being a patron to Pony Salon simply put- I highly recommend this Salon. Even their assistance, shout out to amazing Jada, this team is great!

It was scary but Alexandra help me so much and she did a fantastic haircut. I do get a lot of compliments about it. Best salon experience of my life. The salon itself is clean, spacious, and staff are very friendly. I had the best experience with my stylist, David. I’ve never walked out of a hair appointment as elated as I was after he worked his magic. I came in with extremely grown out full foils, and he gave me the most beautiful color with balayage. Then proceeded to give me the best cut of my life. I never new my hair could look like this! I’ve received more compliments from friends and coworkers than EVER after a new ‘do. I’ll be back for sure!

I’ve had my hair cut twice by Pamela and I have never been happier with how it looks. I have thick, wavy hair and she knew exactly what do so that it looks great even without any styling. She’s also very kind and approachable. The first time she cut my hair, I felt comfortable explaining exactly what I wanted and she addressed my concerns perfectly. I can’t imagine ever going to get my hair cut by anyone else at this point!

I absolutely love PONY salon. The haircuts I get from Corrina are the best haircuts I’ve ever received. She really sees my hair and listens to what I want. Got my hair cut by Blair, who was amazing! Pony Studios was welcoming and warm, everyone who worked there seemed pleasant. I loved that Blair kept the conversation light and open the entire time, I felt comfortable sharing my ideas and talking with her during the process. It was the first time I felt I had a haircut that wasn’t too symmetrical nor seemed to follow a generic cut pattern. Blair was vocal about cutting my hair as it fell and being a stylist that paid attention to the texture and direction of growth when cutting. Result is hair that looks AMAZING even after a wash. Bonus that this salon doesn’t try to over sell you a bunch of products for after-care. I loveeee my haircut and will be going here for cut + color in the future (:
