The salon is extremely clean and well maintained. I had a pedicure and gel manicure and they both look great. Polished has a lot of different color options. I just went to this nail salon for the first time and I had a great experience. Amber is fantastic and did an amazing job. The salon is extremely clean and well maintained. Critical: ProfessionalismI had an appointment at 9:00 am, I was contacted via text the afternoon before and asked if I could be there 15-30 minutes early to ensure adequate time for acrylic soak off. The text said it could take 45 minutes or longer to soak them off though their booking app allots 30 minutes. Admittedly, I quickly read the text and responded that was fine seeing only the 15 minute portion. So, I arrived at 8:46 – yes, a minute late according to what time I thought I needed to be there – and someone yelled from the back they’d be with me. I sat down. An employee who looked like she had just rolled out of bed came out of the back and rudely asked me if I had an appointment. I gave her my name and said yes, at 8:45. She then rudely recited the services I was scheduled for (acrylic soak off and then an appointment for dip with tips directly after). I replied yes. She then said that she didn’t know if there would be time to get my acrylic soaked off as I was to have been there at 8:30. I pulled up the text and read it to her and she said, “oh, she didn’t tell you to be here at 8:30?!” I said no. She said she was concerned there would not be enough time to get them soaked off before it was time to start my next service. I said okay and offered to reschedule and she was still acting annoyed with me and came over and looked at my nails and said, “well I guess we could try, but the schedule is packed and if they dont come off in time, the next girl wont be able to keep your appointment “. At this point, I felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome and absolutely NO effort was made to try to keep my appointments and I left and saw her throwing her hands up and mouthing off to the rest of the staff once I walked out the door. I will never go back and I only went there on referral from a few other people I know and I’ll be sure to let them and everyone else how I was treated. Apparently Polished is so overwhelmed with clients that they can turn new ones away. I understand schedules are busy on the weekends and I also understand that apparently I should have known to be there at 8:30. It was pretty unclear and had it been effectively communicated that 8:30 was the time I needed to arrive, I would have.
