Due to staff not entering my credit card information in correctly, and me reporting it monthly that the charge didn’t come out, their corporate suspended my account. One of the team members checked and she stated it was set up wrong as they entered it under personal checking and not Mastercard. They are unable to do anything at location and have me customer services phone number — where I’ve left numerous emails and messages and NOBODY has returned my calls or emails. I do not feel I should be “punished” for their error and when I called the location regarding customer service wait time for calls I was told “oh I don’t know I’ve never been asked this before” — all I want to do is tan and due to staff not doing job properly I’m left in limbo

Friendly staff. They do try to sell products but it’s how all these places and its employees hit their store goals so they have to attempt to and they also have safer, healthier products. Erin Meador, the manager who like so many others gets moved from store to store is awesome and has great customer service.

If you have an important event and need to look great, Addie and Hayley are incredible to walk you through the process! I had not been to PT for a few years and needed to spray tan. There are plenty of pre, during and post steps to spray tanning, and they reminded me of them all. They were kind and genuine, and I recommend them and this location 100%!!!

I had been a member of PT since they opened. I had canceled my membership as well as put it on hold for numerous years. My last cancellation was in March 2020. I just realized Planet Tan NEVER canceled my membership and continued to bill me. I know for a fact I canceled my membership even though their electronic data does not show it. Corporate was of zero help to this longtime client and only offered to refund 90 days or 25% of the $1269 dollars charged. Very frustrating! When you know the procedure to cancel your membership so this doesn’t happen and then the charges continue, it is very frustrating. All PT says is, we don’t have a signed electronic cancellation notice. Again, zero customer satisfaction here with this expensive incident! Look elsewhere!

My boyfriend and I decided to sign up about 6 weeks before a cruise to get base tans. We only wanted the 14.95 special. Of course they couldn’t recommend that and we ended up with a pricier plan. We brought our own lotion (that I have used for years at other tan salons) only to be told it wasn’t allowed there on their machines and I had to buy a new $90 lotion with them. It was a hard sell on EVERYTHING from the plan, to the lotion, eye wear, face lotion and even after tan lotion. Very uncomfortable experience, but $200+ later, we were tanning. I told them I would cancel when we went on our cruise. The salesperson said I should enjoy the additional month because it would be prorated and only $9. Ha!! Just got charged $51.27 EACH for this month. I called the salon to complain and was told all billing issues are handled through the corporate office only. Called them during business hours and they didn’t answer and I had to leave a message. Asked the local salon to cancel my memberships and was told it must be done in person — of course! Overall, don’t join this chain unless you want to buy a lot of stuff and have lots of grief!! Certainly not worth the $ and aggravation for the few visits we had here.

The tanning beds are fine and work well. They have many options to choose from. The downside is how extremely pushy the employees are. They make you feel as if you have to buy their insanely expensive tanning lotions and are constantly pressuring you to upgrade. Sometimes I politely decline and tell them I was not interested and they would still persist – at times they would even question and challenge my response to their sales pitch. This became so annoying I finally cancelled my membership. I couldn’t stand the constant confrontation. They do have some nice, friendly employees but overall, there’s too much pressure for them to upsell every customer, every visit.

I have been coming here for 3-4 weeks and have had a pleasant experience each time I’ve been. Tonight however was ABOVE AND BEYOND! I met Dalton for the first time tonight and OMG! It was my first time at tanning salon in over 15 years. I was interested in getting a base tan before my trip to Mexico. The young ladies working were extremely nice. They explained that I needed a higher level bed to get a bronze tan. I agreed to a 69.99 package + 20.00 start few. Then my lotions (bronzing ) + extending moisturizer = $90.00. One was $80-$85. I should have passed on extender and bought lotion on Amazon.
