I went here to get a tattoo as a walk in and a guy walks up to me asking what I want. I tell him and he proceeds to tell me that I’m going to look like I’m in prison. Saying that no one is going to know what my tattoo means and continues to give me ideas to change it. It’s not his tattoo, I’m sure my taste and his are different as I could tell by the tattoos on his arm which are also not mine to judge. I am open to opinions but the manor in which he handled it was very very rude. Seeing the other reviews about the attitude people have received during walk-ins, I 100% know it’s the same guy. This place does not have anywhere near the kind energy as twin tides tattoo or Hudson valley tattoo company. Please don’t come here.

Called to make an appt for a consult with Vinny. Was told to just come in Sat at noon to see him. I came in to speak with Vin about doing my sons first Tat & was told at the counter he may or may not be in. Was also half heartedly greeted by a guy at the counter who quickly dismissed the piece by saying that Vinny wouldnt be interested and it would be Shawn’s style. Vinny has done 4 of my tattoos and 4 of my daughters (one of which is in his “portfolio”) so I respectfully told him I would like to discuss it with Vinny. I asked if he would take my number and ask Vinny to call me when he was going to be in. He wouldnt. Told me to email. Very disappointing!!! I like Vinnys work and was very upset that I couldn’t even get a time frame to speak with him and was dismissed by the man at the counter. Lots of tattoos in our future but I’m unsure if we’ll be giving our business to PNY.

She did my Septum and walked me through the process and told me about after care and everything I needed to know! It was VERY clean and organized and near painless and I felt comfortable!! Jerry has been my guy since my first tattoo and has done many for me. I was in recently and had a memorial piece done. Knowing the situation I was going through Jerry made it a point to get me in right away and blew me away with his generosity. Went in for a walk in and the guy asked me what font I wanted my tattoo. I told him I wasn’t sure and could show him a picture. He said that wouldn’t help. When I showed the picture anyway he said “yeah I’m not trying to do that” beyond disgusted with this place and will never recommend anyone.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI went to Planet New York Tattoo my first time over 6 years ago to get a piercing, they were RIDICULOUSLY overpriced, and on top of it didn’t come across welcoming, or like they even cared you were there! I never went back. I had a piercing fall out recently, and it’s been SO hard to find places to go to because of Covid and all the protocols! So, I called around everywhere and figured “it’s been 6+ years give them a try, maybe it’s changed”… Yeah, I made the right decision 6+ years ago to never go to them again. The male receptionist I spoke to was highly rude, with an “I’m too good to be here, or be bothered with you” attitude. He was like an angry 16 year old that’s parents forced him to get a job & he hates it. I was trying to explain the situation and instead of listening to what I was trying to say, he just kept interrupting me & then told me to just go online to book an appt … Worst customer service. Ever. And first impression to me, is everything. Whoever is doing the hiring at this establishment, needs to reevaluate their employees and see if they really want to be working there, and maybe some refreshers on customer service, how to listen, and how to represent yourself correctly. Especially with a customer who is inquiring about spending money at your establishment, you’re supposed to listen, and cater to their needs, not have an attitude or make them feel uncomfortable, and ruin any chance of them coming to your business.
