Critical: Quality, ValueProbably the worst gel manicure I’ve ever gotten.I was in the area from Philadelphia and in need of a mani/pedi. I made an appointment, was seated on time, but that’s where the pleasant experience ended.I was in the first chair by the door with a male nail tech (not sure of his name) who was nice enough but clearly distracted and feeling himself way too much. He had a huge ego for someone who didn’t know how to cut cuticles, shape nails, or even apply paint neatly. Thank god I didn’t ask for any nail designs.I asked him to remove my press-ons and he kept saying I needed to be prepared that my nails would be “rough and bumpy” and there wasn’t much he could do about it although that hasn’t been my experience in any other nail salon ever. He didn’t ask how short to cut them, didn’t ask what shape I wanted, and when the color I picked was only enough for one nail he just went and grabbed another color without even asking. The nails are all different lengths, horribly shaped, and the polish is already chipping due to poor application plus there are bubbles all over. Not to mention he was the only tech with no plexiglass barrier, and he kept sneezing while doing my pedicure without even trying to cover his face. I’m vaccinated but when we went to sit for the manicure I put on my mask because I didn’t want to get whatever he has, even if it’s not covid. Just nasty. The pedicure was marginally better. Overall the place is nice, but this nail tech is cocky, distracted, and really unskilled.EDIT: See the second photo for the gel mani I just got from my regular salon to replace this awful one. No comparison.Services: Manicure, PedicureProbably the worst gel manicure I’ve ever gotten.I was in the area from Philadelphia and in need of a mani/pedi.
