The first time I visited the shop, I booked a manicure and did not book a soak off. The nail tech was only able to do the disk off and I had to come back a week later for the manicure . The website allowed for booking for a manicure on a Saturday morning but the mail techs were leaving before noon. The hours listed on Google state the shop doesn’t close until ~ 5pm. I came back a week later for a gel manicure and pedicure and my nails looked great but once I left I noticed a chip in my right thumb ( my dominant hand). Less than a week later almost every mail on my hands is chipped with “GEL” nail polish. Also, the shop charges full price for a regular pedicure ($40) but doesn’t do a full pedicure ( I.e. sugar scrub on legs, use of pumice stone). I specifically sought out a Black owned business but unfortunately they did not meet my expectations. When I attempted to call to for payment information, I called three times and no one answered nor was their an option to leave a message. Beautiful shop but better business practices need to be in place

This is the worst gel manicure I’ve ever received. Like other reviews say the customer service is excellent, but I didn’t pay for customer service. It’s only been a little over a week and they look like this! They started chipping three days in. I’ve never had gel chip like this! Although the place is very beautiful it didn’t seem super clean when it came to the tools they used. They shared the drill bits back and forth and just tossed the used pumice stone back with the rest. I’m disappointed because I was really excited to try this place!

This salon is so cute and I was pleasantly surprised when Kendra remembered little details about me and my life from the previous time I came in for a pedicure. They don’t treat you like a stranger here, unlike other nail salons. The place is so warm & inviting.

The quality of the nails is 1 star but the customer service gets the them an extra star. I was booked twice for acrylics with one tech then that magically changed to someone else whose unlicensed to do gel-x. I was put with the same nail tech each time when the person I booked with somehow took another appointment and put me with the unlicensed tech. I know she’s not cuz I was told that she couldn’t do acrylic. The nail art was phenomenal but the nail application was poor and broke off within a week after getting them done and repairs were just as bad. She used a drill for everything and nicked me on almost every nail. There was twice that I felt it in a nerve and she called me sensitive and never apologized. The pedicure was just as bad and she said she didn’t remember everything she was supposed to do for the pedicure. I ultimately has them removed and went to a dermatologist that noted the mail breeds were dangerously thin and 4 doors on 3 nails that were so thin that blood could be seen. I wanted to support a Black woman owned business but the quality was not worth it. Boston in general sucks for quality beauty services for Black women.

I was extremely excited to see that there is a black-owned salon in the area. I booked my first appointment a few weeks ago to do some nails. This was my first time and the girl who did it was nice and they came out okay, there was a issue afterwards with the nails that i brought up but the girl brushed it off, seemed like she didnt care. After three days 3/10 nails popped off completely from my nails and unfortunately it was not within their 72 hour policy for free nail repairs. I glued back some of nails but kept on encountering the same problem with the other nails coming off so it was clear the girl didnt do a good job with the set. The following week i went back for a nail repair and it was fixed by the owner. I really loved her personality and she really helped me out with my broken nail. The nail she repaired has been extremely sturdy and i wasn’t worried that it was going to pop off/break like the others so she clearly knows what she’s doing. After a week the remaining nails have all popped off expect the one the owner repaired. I was extremely disappointed with the set as i have spent over $100 for the nails that practically lasted 3 days. I plan on giving the place another try as the owner left a positive impression on me but i’ll definitely make sure to make an appointment with her!

Critical: Quality, ValueOverall the CUSTOMER experience is great, the place does have great customer service. I originally had a first appointment on the 2/12 and came back a week later because my nails were falling off. Dana fixed them and scheduled me for 2/27. I went and thought she’d be doing them but I was scheduled with the same first nail tech. There are 3 available.. Now, today is 3/3 and my nail started to bend yesterday. I understand acrylics are expensive nowadays and this is not my first time getting my nails done, my nail tech moved. She did the pink set which is what acrylics SHOULD look like.I paid $170 for acrylics before and $110 for a refill. They opened the salon over a year ago so it shows they lack experience. I’ll just take my L and find a more experienced nail tech. Honestly if I read some of these reviews I probably wouldn’t have gone but I found them on IG.Services: Pedicure, ManicureOverall the CUSTOMER experience is great, the place does have great customer service. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI LOVE THIS SALON! I am so happy that my best friend referred me to Dana. Best kept secret in the nail game in Boston hands down. Dana is the only nail tech that can make my crazy ideas come to life. Our imaginations combined have made some of the most memorable sets. The added bonus is that Dana is a young black female entrepreneur. I have always said that you get what you pay for, if you’re looking for a cheap fix then please do not go into Pink & Pretty. Dana uses the best salon tools and supplies on her clients which allows us to have our acrylics for weeks (months for the brave hearts). The space is cute, she’s cute and the vibes are always right! Instead of finding fault with the salon, why don’t you commend her for starting a business and running it on her own? Put some respect on her name y’all.
