After researching and calling around to several salons for at least a good month or so Sierra was the first person who took the time to actually speak with me and answer all of my questions and concerns with getting extensions! Several salons never called me back to schedule a consultation and the one that did acted like I was a waste of their time during the consultation when asking the most basic questions, but had no problem with going into details how much it was going to be and if I wanted to go ahead and pay for the hair and installation fees that day… Needless to say finding the Pink Cactus was a breath of fresh air!!!!

Sierra the owner is always wonderful with my color and cut. I am picky about it being even and she gets it right every time! Brie just did a Brazilian Blowout on me and it is awesome! Everyone there is so nice and I love going and getting my hair done. This is the 3rd place I went to and will not be looking anywhere else.

I want to preface this review by saying that I rarely, if ever, have any negative feedback to give to a business. Simply because I’ve been in the service/retail industry and I understand how chaotic/busy it can be that personally, I always try to find something good about my visit. However, I’m finding it hard to do that here and this review is coming a week later. But I had one of the worst experiences I’ve had in nearly 5 years. My first appointment here, I showed 10 minutes early, only to wait 20 minutes for no one to show. I reached out to Pink Cactus on Facebook to share my disappointment, who were quick to respond in an attempt to rectify this. They shared that my stylist was out sick and she made attempts to call everyone she had scheduled, but I never got that call. And because we are still in a pandemic, I understood and thought I’d give them another chance because honestly, stuff happens, and I’d hope someone would be understanding if it were me. My appointment was rescheduled and I only asked to be rescheduled with someone who was experienced in cutting bangs and adding layers. I didn’t hear back from them about that part, other than being given the time, date, and the name of who my stylist would be. I arrived early and ended up leaving the salon with my bangs cut too short and completely thinned to the point that there were obvious gaps in my bangs that there shouldn’t have been. Although my stylist was incredibly sweet and friendly, I felt like she didn’t listen to what I asked for and instead of stopping to check in with me to see if it was too short or if it was what I wanted, she kept cutting and cutting, until she was obviously unable to fix it, prompting her to call on her coworker to provide suggestions. I left in shock and upset as my bangs have been the trademark for my hair for the past 5 years. Hair grows back and I know that, but this experience hurt because it was impossible to fix and I can’t even pin them back or style them in a way that doesn’t look awful. I’m super disappointed as I was really hopeful about this place.

Love love love this salon!! All of the staff here are extremely professional and knowledgeable and willing to help you in any way possible with questions, advice, etc. regarding your hair and/or other beauty needs. Prices are very reasonable, and the salon is neat, clean and well kept. I got extensions done, and they turned out gorgeous! Total transformation of my look in a positive way!!
