Yesterday I went to a dominican salon to get my hair done. And I wrote on a piece of paper and asked a Spanish woman (in her own language) to dye my hair dark brown BUT she DIDN’T. While I never write reviews, I felt I had to share this. I usually go to Silver Spring and pass by Perla everytime. So this time, I decided to actually go in and get a haircut, why not give it a try, it looked liked a good place. Well, what I’ve experienced was not good to say the least. The barber was rude,( didn’t want to speak to us when we got in) and very disrespectful. He spoke patua ( which is fine with me) but was not willing to compromise, going as far as to dissing me of ‘ not speaking propar English ‘. I took it lightly, as the usual barber shop disses… But this guy kept on saying that Jamaican hair was better and that everyone else’s hair was ‘dirty’, or ‘unpure’. I mean he is entitled to his own opinions but he doesn’t have to tell me that, to my face. After he cut my hair, he tried charging me an extra 5 dollars thinkin I won’t read the price smh..anyway we spent 15 minutes arguing about the acutal price that he was trying to hide to get a few exrea bucks.

The hair salon is a bunch of rude loud mouth Jamaicans. That can’t do there job right, very disappointed in my haircut. The barber in the first chair on the left was absolutely horrible and rude. Worst barber I’ve been too in this whole country. And they can barely speak English
