I formally went to Periwinkle’s when it was located in the now Details Salon. Had a permanent & it turned off awful. Took all the color out of my hair and hair was nothing but fried. Claire who did my perm., wasn’t the one who mixed it up. The owner did, without asking if had colored hair. Unfortunately 2 weeks later my dad passed on & I attended the funeral looking terrible.

My stylist was ready to take me back and was incredibly professional and responsive to what I wanted in a cut and made positive suggestions to make sure my curls would behave with the loss of weight from the trim and still be able to pull into a mom-tail for those frazzled days! Tonight was my first experience at Periwinkles and Claire will forever have my business as long as she’s in the industry. First of all, this salon has the perfect atmosphere. You get a very warm feel which is accompanied by a friendly greeting. Second, their service is top of the line. Lea is great! She is professional, caring and great at what she does. Most of all she listens to your needs and delivers every time. She has mastered blond, which I am picky so that says a lot. I have been searching for a hairstylist for my teenage son for quite some time, as we are both pretty particular about his haircuts (he has had some bad experiences in the past). I was referred to Lea Schmidt at Periwinkle Salon in Greenville by a friend, and I was impressed not only with Lea’s professional skill, but her ability to listen to what we wanted and deliver the best haircut he has had in years. Her cheerful, welcoming attitude and attention to detail is exactly what we were looking for in a professional hairstylist, and we got that with Lea and more. I have even since started going to her as well, along with my 2 other children. Thank you Lea, for great cuts AND outstanding customer service!

Had my hair trimmed last week, seeing I normally cut my own hair. Difficult for me to cut a style to the back of my hair. Told my stylist exactly what I was looking for and only got a slight trim, no style and ended up looking no different than when I came in. Disappointed that from when I walked into the salon, taken immediately, and paid was a total of 20 minutes. Even mentioned that my husband said take your time. I told him it wasn’t up to me, but to the stylist’s how long she took. I loved going to this salon when it was Details. Stylist’s took their time, listened to what I wanted from my appointment and loved the outcome. This was my second visit at this salon in the past eight months. Last December wanted a permanent and it turned out absolutely awful. Took the color out of my hair and my hair was mush. Immediately had to start trimming the dry ends, which ended my quest to let my hair grow out. The stylist did a good job, but the owner mixed up the permanent solution and never asked if I colored my hair or not. Think the solution was for natural /uncolored hair which made the permanent turn out so bad. Sadly this will be my last time at this salon. Chose it because close to my home and formally Details Salon

I don’t usually go to professional Salons to get my hair done…I usually go to a hair school nearby. The schools are more cost effective and if they mess up, the students are disciplined and their instructor will resolve any mistakes. But from my personal experience, Lea is the ONLY cosmologist I trust doing my hair for the professional price. She has the knowledge and professionalism to tame my insanely thick, coarse, curly hair where to a point where it’s manageable and stylish. She’s never afraid to ask for a second opinion to her coworkers and cooincide with what the customer wants. I find her advise valuable. If she’s not sure of your personal request she will verify your wants and offer any other options that might suite you better. Hair aside, Lea is also one of two cosemtologists who is able to shape my Anne Hathaway (Pre-princess Mia unruliness) eyebrows to my liking. I highly recommend her and this place of business.
