PENZONE Salon + Spa Short North (formerly MAX THE SALON Short North) is located at 967 N. High Street in Columbus, Ohio. Our salon + spa is next to White Castle and Vamp Official between W 2nd Ave and W Starr Ave. There’s a parking garage right around back and street parking is available that you can pay for using the ParkColumbus app. Our Short North salon + spa offers hair, skin, nail, massage + bridal services. When at the salon, be sure to visit our Beauty Zone for some fast, results-oriented skincare services. And if there’s a wait, don’t worry! I booked this place for Hair and Makeup services for my wedding day. I was SO IMPRESSED with how the day ended up. It was so nice to sit with my girlies at the bar and hang out while we waited for our turns. I had 9 people (including me) get hair and airbrushed make up done in less than 4 hours! They also have me the option to pre-order food for everyone so that we could stay well fed. Definitely would recommend for a salon bridal experience! P.S. Dion and Chey are absolutely wonderful and made me feel so beautiful on my big day!

I had a wonderful visit with this salon. The people there are very kind and compassionate. I had a situation with someone (outsider) cancelling my appointment without my permission – yet the salon still fit me in – and helped me get to the bottom of what happened. They made me feel wonderful on my special day, despite that snafu. Larryn is a very kind and good manager that helped remedy the situation. I can’t remember the name of the young lady who did my hair but she did the most wonderful job and made me look beautiful for my special event. I can’t thank the team enough for their great job and also kindness that day and I will definitely come back when I am in town again.

I came to Penzone to get my hair dyed and left with nothing having been done to my hair. My appointment was originally scheduled at 2:30pm, and I was not seen until 4:05pm. I understand things happen, but I wish I was notified as to not spend an hour and a half sitting in the salon. I would have been just fine arriving later.

Kathryn suggested I try GelX nails bc I never have any luck with acrylics. Love them!!! 3 weeks in they are all still on and no chipping. I am very active with hands so pretty nails just never last on these hands, but these Gelx are awesome and worth it. Look forward to changing up my color! Pedicure

I typically will go here for nails and have loved the service. The entire shop is a super great team and I’ve never had issues. Last week I had a cut and highlights and it was not great. My appointment was half an hour late – which I DO NOT care about, but I was a little annoyed when nobody said anything about being behind for 25+ minutes. Next, my stylist only did half a head of highlights when it was a full appointment, they were about an inch away from my roots, uneven application & spotty. My hair is also orange. I literally never post reviews but definitely recommend researching your artist before booking.
