On November 7th, 2019 our award-winning salon + spa concept launched in the Lewis Center area. We’ve felt strongly that we must continue to innovate – not only to propel the beauty industry forward, but also for the benefit and well-being of our guests – cue PENZONE Polaris! One of the most unique elements of our Polaris location is a new flex space. We started with a cameo from our friends at L I T Life + Yoga, but the space has the potential for lots of amazing well-being and self-care treats. Keep an eye out for the details on our offerings! I got my eyebrows done on Saturday, today is now Monday. The process and result was fantastic, but the person who I had the appointment with accidentally waxed off my skin or burnt it (she used hot wax). Of course it’ll heal, but I’m not very happy about it. I would also like Penzone to offer hard wax as an option. The first two photos are Sunday’s, and the last two were today’s.

Very upsetting! Paid $240 to have the stylist do balayage on my daughter and it doesn’t even look like she colored her hair. I complained upon checking out but all they did was have the stylist come out to tell me that was balayage. She was rude about it and even rolled her eyes while walking away. It looks nothing like the pictures I showed her before she began the process. I didn’t want to pay for the service but they wouldn’t allow me to leave without paying. Below is the picture of what I asked for and the other pictures is what my daughters hair looked like afterwards. If someone from higher up management would reach out to me that would be great.

The lady (Paris) cutting my hair was so cold and rude. Couldn’t take the time of day to talk to me fully about what I wanted. I have HIGH anxiety when it comes to my hair. I was shaking and on the verge of tears walking in the door (due to past terrible experiences) and she couldn’t even be bothered to give a friendly smile when I came in. She cut my hair off way more than I asked before I even had time to think. My hair was below my elbows before walking in the door. I asked for long hair with lots of layers in a v-cut and she gave me a short, blunt cut with one one inch layer. Thankfully, management refunded me my money minus the gratuity, but now I have to wait another year to get my hair back to what I wanted.

I’ve been to Penzone at Polaris several times for various services. The spa aspect was great (massage + facial). I will never again go for a mani/pedi. The price is outrageous for subpar service and gel nails chipped 1 day later.

Love this place! I like that you can get all spa treatments at one place and a robe in between. Wish they had robes that were available for more plus size ladies. As well as maybe a complimentary snack or granola or nuts. Because sometimes there is no time to go to the little Cafe and buy and eat.

The stylist was incredibly RUDE to my friend who came in to get a shorter cut. Before they had even started the stylist insulted my friend’s hair. She has resolved to never go here again. Take your money elsewhere if you like to be treated with respect. Haircut

I have been going to Penzone since the 90s (Dublin first and then Polaris), and I still love them. How much? I fly in from Texas and let my gray roots go longer than I wish them to be just so I get the haircut/color I want (6 years in Texas and had 12 less than stellar experiences at 4 different salons AND salons charge WAY more here for that subpar service). Carman is the one. I cannot tell you how many different styles and colors she has done for me over the years and each time it is perfect. My husband calls my visits with her my “Carman Day” because I float around euphoric and want to go everywhere to have my newly polished locks seen. Tell her what you want…take a picture…make drawings in the air with your hands…she will make sure she knows what you want. She is funny, nice, cool, and LISTENS to you about your hair and whatever else. Just can’t say enough about her as a person or her skills. I have to give a giant shout out to Brita, too. I started going to Carman so many years ago and she is beyond amazing as I said…but when Carman is on vacation and unavailable Brita is my only go-to. I am so lucky to have found her. She is absolutely terrific; my color/cut always great and she also really pays attention to exactly what you want and what you don’t want. Both of these women can hear you and put that on your head…no blunt instead of layered or vice versa or 3 inches off instead of 2 1/2 or any other mishaps. These two women keep me getting compliments and lots of “who does your hair” moments.

In my attempt to make an appointment today, I was informed that unless I put my credit card on their file they do not want my business. This business practice is inappropriate. I have been going to the Polaris location since they opened and I have spent thousands of dollars, more than I could count and your willingness to lose my business is shocking. You have way too many competitors to adopt such an attitude and business practice towards your clients.
