I had an appointment at 10am that was cancelled at 10:30am. They didn’t even bother to reschedule with me. The lady who was working at the time didn’t know someone was coming in which I understand wasn’t her fault since she wasn’t my scheduled stylist but it was just very unprofessional and I see that I’m not the only one who has had this issue

Came in for a long overdue pandemic haircut. My initial appointment was cancelled but Annette was very nice about rescheduling me right away. At my rescheduled appointment, Sonia was great and I love my hair. Will definitely come back!

I’ve driven past Pearls of Chicago so many times, but it took a Groupon to get me to stop in. The space is lovely, clean and updated. I was a bit frustrated because they asked me to come in early because I was getting highlights in, but my stylist didn’t even come get me until 10 minutes after my original appointment. Beyond that, the service was exceptional. When they offer you a coffee, you take it! They get it shipped from Blue Bottle and it’s delicious.

I wanted to love this salon but I have to be honest. I came in as the first customer of the day, yet the salon was disorganized and the floor, walls and corners of the salon were dirty and obviously not cleaned in ages. The hairstylists were polite but awkward. In regards to my hair, I showed my stylist multiple specific photos of exactly what I wanted (which was a simple cut and style that was appropriate for my hair type and length) and was very clear on what I wanted my hair to look like. The stylist initially did great, but as she continued, she began to change my hairstyle into something I did not ask for. I left the salon with a hairstyle that looked fine, but not what I asked for. For $60, I expect to leave a salon with the simple and specific haircut and style I asked for. After I showered a couple days later, I realized that the haircut was not even cut to the length that I specifically asked my stylist to cut to, multiple times. I was left feeling very disappointed in this salon and unfortunately won’t be coming again.

Awful service. I was seen by a stylist whom seemed to not be certified. She did not know how to cut layers in my hair, did not have the correct cutting shears. My haircut ended up being cut by two different stylists and at the end the first stylist said she was done with layering the hair; she had only cutting 2 hair sections and was calling it an end. When I requested to be reimbursed for their awful service I was denied. I was told their business does not credit back the charge. I paid $55 for a cut I was unhappy with. This was the last cut here. I suggest you do your research before making an appointment at this salon.
