Critical: QualityPauline is very deceptive; she quoted me one price and when I got to the shop she charged me way over what was quoted. Hair extensions was not of quality; itchy snd ruined my clothing while on vacation. She basically lied and said there was going to be two people doing my hair; only one person – what normally takes 2 hours to do; took her 5 hours to braid and hair was extremely too tight.Had to basically dump my hair in tea tree oil to alleviate the itching from the bad quality of the hair product. She also claimed it would be easy to remove the two strand braids. Not true, tried one and it’s going to take me days to take this junk out (which needs to be removed immediately). It’s been only two weeks and it’s still itching. Pauline is running a deceptive business; needs to be shut down, period.Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this business. Hair extensions was not of quality; itchy snd ruined my clothing while on vacation. Pauline and her staff are very nice and skilled hair braiders. Pauline runs a honest operation and doesn’t over charge for her services. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking to get their hair braided.

If you want to keep your hair, DO NOT get your hair braided here. I literally have no edges after taking down my individual braids, which I was told is a protective style. PLEASE!!! While I had 3 ladies braiding my hair and got my out in like 4-5 hours, apparently they are not properly skilled in the technique of installing braids, otherwise my hair would not have fallen out like this. I haven’t even gotten to take down the rest of my hair yet. I’m horrified at the thought. I repeat again, if you want to keep your hair, DO NOT get your hair braided here, not even under desperate circumstances.

They started my hair at 5:30 and I was leaving by 10:30pm. My daughter went the next day took a little longer but they did a great job on both of our hair. We both have gotten a lot of compliments. They are polite. I think they should come down on their prices. I would suggest they hire more braiders because they over book appointments.

I got my hair braided @ this establishment twice. The first time I got long Senegalese twists which took 11 hours to complete. However they looked AMAZING.. The braider I had was very nice and took her time.. The owner Pauline is the problem, she is rude and has a disgusting disposition. She did my hair the second time and it looked “basic” nothing worth $240.00. She sings gospel hymns loudly while your in the chair, if you question anything she does get ready for the bull****.

The owner was rude was poor quality work, didn’t want to take responsibility for the braids falling out within one week. Paid 200.00 They are a rip off. And she call this a Christian shop. She really need to pray. Money hungry. That’s why they want that money up front because they do such a poor job. Maybe if they stay off the phone and attention to braiding they would do a better job. Especially that mother and daughter pair. That owner she’s a joke.

SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. Went in today for an 8am appt for box braids. The owner was an hour late getting to the shop to do my hair on top that she didnt start on my hair until 10am. She gave me a price of $250 for medium box braids waist length. I paid before services because she stated and had a sign thats how they do business now,so i was like ok no big deal lets get started. As she was braiding i noticed she had not braided them down to my waist so I said something and she kept reassuring me they would be right just let her finish. The whole time her and the other ladies talked the ENTIRE time in their language, the thing that really set me off was the fact she kept stoping to answer and talk on her phone. She parted my hair with a hair clamp not a comb which hurt so bad. When she finished my hair my braids were literally in the middle of my back (NOT WHAT I ASKED OR PAID FOR) i told her i was unhappy and how I reminded her in the beginning like 3 times but she chuckled,and i was so thrown off i said I didn’t see anything funny. She never offered to fix my hair or refund some of my money. I was so upset because i was there from 9am-8pm for some box braids ,she braids so slow(11hours) Go to fifi african braiding she is a good fast braider and treats her clients well. Pauline is just money hungry and will put what she wants in your head instead of what you paid/asked for. If i could give a 0 rating star i would.

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI always go to Pauline until today my daughter hair appointment was at 3:30pm and I call to check on her at 4:30pm and she was still waiting and we got there at 3 i pick my daughter up and we left. I had an appointment scheduled at 9a.m. when I got there 3 other people were also told to come at 9:00..Pauline told me one of her workers just called in and she would be calling to get someone to do my hair. So she got one of the other hair braiders who was already late to the 9 I clock appointment to make her client wait and pick up the person who was going to do my hair. At 11 o clock the girl started on my hair. I was getting a retouch on my edges of box braids which involved taking down braids around the sides of my hair and re-braiding. The girl doing my hair took down 5 braids then demanded I pay before she get started after I commented on the way she was combing at my knots I simply suggested to spray some oil to loosen the knots then Pauline States they can’t do that it’s putting chemicals in my hair? According to Pauline there’s a sign at the front that says pay for service first. So I was not able to know the quality of the service until the end. I didn’t argue. So the girl started on my hair braiding half a braid on every braid for one section taking 1 hour to unbraid and 1 hour to braid one small section then she went to the other side mind you the other side are half finished braids about 14 braids that took 2hours. When she got done with section 2 of 4 she went back to the first section to re finish braiding all the braids she started on to the end..I had box braids so you know they are pretty lengthy. I didn’t understand why when she started didn’t finish her braids it made no sense. When she got to the back I said can you just finish the braids all the way down you taking too much time I’ve already been here 4 hours. So I took pics of myself to see my braids and the girl told me not to take pics in the chair because she didn’t want to be in my photo. I advised her that she did not have to worry she would never be something I would take a photo of and I would continue taking pics of myself if that’s what I wanted to do. In the end when she finally finished she sprayed a dab of oil n hair spray and said ok you can get up now and leave. I asked for a mirror to see the finished product and they could not provide me with one I had to use my phone to see the back and sides I was there from 11a-5p for a retouch.Do not go here. Bad service and slow service. Then they get an attitude if you have something to say about what they are doing. I will never go back!!
