The first time I came here I saw Ashley and got balayage and hair cut. I have curly hair 3b-3c. It was probably the best haircut Ive ever gotten. I recently went back and saw Joy for a dry trim. Joy was excellent and my hair was styled perfectly. I love my hair cut – my hair is looking so good and healthy.

Gone twice and it really depends on my stylist. The first (ElIzabeth L) was amazing for curly hair, and the second was super expensive and really not that great with curly hair, so I regretted my second visit. Lesson learned: stick with the stylist not the salon.

I have literally never left reviews for a hair salon, but Ajay completely changed the way I think about my hair! I have type 2C-D curly hair but I could never find a consistent way to bring the curls out. She understood exactly what I wanted, what I was doing wrong, and what my hair needed. Despite my endless pouring over curly-girl websites and buying top-reviewed products, I had never found anything that got the kind of amazing results her curly cut and guidance did. Had my first every curly cut here and it was the best haircut I’ve ever had! Marian was beyond amazing. She is so nice, thoughtful, and a great listener for your specific needs. She asked me all kinds of questions and talked me through everything. She taught me how to take care of my curls too! I was just visiting from Seattle for a short trip and would definitely go out of my way to come back to Marian for a cut when I come back to DC! Go to Elizabeth! I first saw her last year at another DC salon and am so glad I found her again. I have very thick, wavy hair and thought I was getting the right cut for it but found out I was wrong after Elizabeth worked her magic – my hair has never looked better! It’s been about 3 months since my last cut and it still looks great. She also taught me how to use a diffuser properly. Life. Changing. All that and she’s super nice to boot!
