I learned a great deal about haircuts, stylistic choices, and hair itself during my appointment and Mark’s passion for his craft is apparent from the first moment you meet him. He walked me through the best look for my face and head shape and I don’t think I can ever go back to my old ways of telling barbers that I want my hair to be “short on the sides and long-ish on the top” or “I don’t know, just this but shorter I guess?”Mark takes cleanliness and design as seriously as he takes haircuts and his barbershop is immaculate and very well appointed. His conversational skills are excellent and his use and knowledge of various hair products was impressive. He explained all of the pros and cons of different shampoos, conditioners, gels, etc. in the market and I really learned a lot about the science of each product instead of just listening to the marketing. I feel like much more of an informed consumer right now compared to before my appointment as I historically used the same hair products over and over without giving them much thought.In short, I walked out of his barbershop with a classic American haircut from a classic American barber. Mark is easily the most knowledgeable barber I have ever been to. I learned a great deal about haircuts, stylistic choices, and hair itself during my appointment and Mark’s passion for his craft is apparent from the first moment you meet him.
