Park Avenue Dermatology was founded by Dr. George Schmieder to provide quality healthcare to Jacksonville area residents for the treatment of a broad range of skin conditions. Dr. Schmieder is a board certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon with an experienced staff of doctors, physician assistants, clinicians and aestheticians who are dedicated to helping patients look and feel their best. With four locations: two in Orange Park, one in Fleming Island, and one in Jacksonville at the UF North Health Building, Park Avenue Dermatology provides medical treatments for acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, skin cancer, and many other problematic skin conditions for patients of all ages and all skin types.

Can not even get into to see the dr and my husband needs his cream. They won’t fill prescription without seeing a Dr. They are solid booked and blaming the pandemic. I’m tired of everyone using that as an excuse. Oh the lady who makes appointments and rudely hung up on me. She was not helpful or nice at all. She should not be talking to me as if I’m a child.

I was in last week for my full skin check up. Natalie Bernhardt was very patient and I had a list of concerns that she checked out one of which she had to biopsy and I’m just waiting for results. I have been going to Park Avenue dermatology for at least three years or more and Everyone staff and doctors and associates at Fleming Island and Orange Park offices have always been courteous caring and I highly recommend this group!

The PA Natalie Bernhardt did a biopsy and the results came back that clinical correlation was recommended but she sent a tech in to see me and said that I was good to go and didn’t need to come back. I wasn’t even told the results and that they did find something. I would not have known how the biopsy turned out had I not asked for the results of the biopsy it self to be given to me. Very scary place. It left me scrambling around to find a dermatologist to treat my condition because they said they don’t actually have a doctor there.

Very welcoming environment! Staff friendly from time I walked in the door to exiting. Establishment was very clean and felt safe with social distancing practices. The Dermatologist took her time explaining to me what would be best for my visit, which was reassuring since I did not know what to expect. Very pleased and highly recommend services.

Today (9/8/21) at 1:30 pm, I called this office and explained to the woman who answered the phone that I had referral to see a Dermatologist there. After asking for my name and date of birth, the woman told me that she has no record of a referral in my name; she asked me who my provider is, stated that my healthcare provider did not forward the referral to their office, and that I need to contact my provider to have the referral faxed to them. I then told her my records show the referral being sent, and asked if she could re-input my information in the computer. Sure enough, the woman stated that she found my referral. I asked her why was she suddenly able to find it, to which she replied, “What does it matter; I don’t have to tell you that. I found it, and that’s all you need to know. Do you want to make the appointment or not?” In anger, I told her no, and hung up the phone. I was just stunned to know that a person representing a professional clinic (and whose livelihood is provided by monthly premiums being paid by our medical insurance dollars) has little to no sense of professional courtesy, and could be so rude and shallow.

I met with Dr Natalie Bernhart omg she was amazing! She explained everything and made me feel so much better about my condition. She asked all the right questions to help me get on the right track. Very nice office staff and the medical nurse assistant was very polite and helpful! I feel very good being in their hands and would highly recommend using them to anyone who wants a no rush, dr who takes her time listening and explaining medication and treatment options safest for their patients!

The Fleming Island Offices’ associates meet you once you’re signed in. And they’re spot on fast. Before I was finished with my paperwork I was called into one of the Exam room’s. The very knowledgeable assistant will runover the procedures and monetary policies. Once all is accomplished Dr Sara and her team including two interns entered room on-time. The Dr is energetic, easygoing and doesn’t shy away from questions. She will inform you how she’s going to be doing your procedure. Afterwards, she will ask if I’ve equestions?
