Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueWhile there are a many salons on the north fork that I have visited over the past few decades, very few have managed to provide a professional service much less manage to take my lofty “hair plan” through to fruition. No one has ever handled my “finicky” artist sensibilities with such grace and style like Paris Salon in St. James. The standard for service and customer satisfaction must be seen to be believed! I am fully prepared to go 45 minutes west in afternoon traffic just for a wash and blowout as it is like a mini-spa day in and of itself. I found Rolando and his wonderful team after an in depth search using key words like “best salon on Eastern Long Island” and then reading from as many varied sources as I could find. My hair was fried and refused to grow beyond shoulder length. No amount of product and styling could tame it. In my search for healthy, highlighted hair at a lusciously long length I had many a ‘brush’ with over processing and toxic products. Not a worry at Paris Salon! These engaging and warm creative professionals gave me golden brown locks so long and soft my husband won’t stop running his fingers through them. When I showed up for an appointment late and after only being a client for a very short time , they could instantly tell, somehow, that my mood was not “sunny” and offered me a discount on one of the best facials I have ever received, scheduling my hair services in to accommodate the last minute appointment with his esthetician. By the time they were through I was a whole person again. This is the high quality care and service received every time I have visited this precious little gem of the island over the past few years and i am grateful. And, renewed.Namaste, Paris Salon! Positive: Professionalism, QualityBest haircut I’ve had in years.If you’re a woman who has been getting your hair done for any length of time, you can spot the difference as soon as your butt hits that chair between someone who is extremely experienced, and someone who is not. My previous salon in St. James was all about the look of the studio and the products they pushed, rather than focusing on the quality of the services. My mom, who recently went to Paris and was extremely pleased wit her cut and color, told me to go see Rolando for my next trim. He cut my hair and had me out the door in less than an hour with ease and professionalism. The other salon took double the time, and cut my hair unevenly. The cut was fresh and sleek, the blowout was quick and perfect. Such a friendly staff and warm environment.
