She said I should just shave my head. I have a receding hairline. She then shaved my eyebrows. The longer your hair the less likely you will develop grey hair. My eyebrows now have grey hair. She also would cut my hair completely revealing my receding hairline. After leaving a man came up to me and noticed how bad I looked. He said if you don’t look better in one year I am going to shoot you.

Sunam gives a great men’s haircut. She’s friendly, there’s typically not a big wait time, the prices are very reasonable, and it’s local in downtown. You won’t necessarily get a glamorous experience, but the atmosphere is cozy and quick and you’ll walk out with a hair cut that had attention to detail. Just make sure she’s there. I think she works at the Portland location M, Thur, Fri.

This has become my regular barber shop. It’s the only place on the peninsula I’ve found that doesn’t have a 3 week waiting list. There’s only one chair here, but the wait time usually isn’t bad. My wife always loves the quality of haircut that I get here.

Good walk, but that was about it. I arrived in the morning to see if they were doing walk ins. They weren’t, so the lady scheduled me for a 3pm appointment that same day. When I arrived at 3pm, the place was closed. I called the phone number on the window a few times, and even called the number that was given by the woman on the voicemail, but nobody answered. Major bummer.

I have been going to Paragon religiously for the last 5 years. Cho, who works at the Portland location 3-4 days per week, is fantastic. She is gracious, kind, and knows how to cut hair! She is very detail oriented and will take time to cut your hair as you want it cut. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Portland! No appointments taken. Walk in only.
