She is incredibly hilarious with the most honest and sweetest personality.Booking Pang:I found her on Yelp! I wanted to book an appointment with someone who has worked with Asian women’s hair before and someone who will hopefully understand what I was looking for in a haircut. Her schedule was at least a week and a half out and every time I tried to book something, it would say that it was already taken!! Crazy, but I thought that that was great! Her schedule was getting filled quick because that meant SHE DOES GREAT WORK and people want to book with her! The process was quick and easy, and once it got closer to my appointment, I received reminders which were very very helpful!The Studio:Her studio is so cute! Pretty chic and modern, in my opinion! Her plants add a cute fresh touch to it! It was very tidy and before my appointment, I even saw her sanitizing everything from the chair to her tools. Awards, pictures of her and her friends and of her previous work can be found up on the walls surrounding the studio which was really cool to see! There was kpop playing in the background during my appointment and lemme tell you, it was the viiibe!!!The Appointment:I booked Pang for a (overdue) hair cut for the first time ever and I do NOT regret it. I had looooong (maybe about a foot and a half long. It grew passed my butt!), damaged, and unhealthy hair. I told her I wanted a few inches cut off, layers, something similar to a Korean drama’s main character’s hair. I also told her I wanted curtain bangs but was too afraid to commit because when I tried to center part my hair at home… OH MY GOD I WAS HORRIFIED. (My hair is so use to be parted from the side so parting it from the center was an absolute nightmare for me.) Pang gave me the most helpful tips that I never ever would’ve thought of. The entire time, we were talking almost nonstop! It felt as if we had known each other and I just felt so comfortable with joking around with her. After she was finished, I literally almost cried tbh. For the longest time, I thought I’d look so gross with a different hairstyle or with bangs but she’s got some magic hands. I got exactly what I wanted. Layers. Curtain bangs. Shorter hair. I didn’t have to commit to a CENTER part. I didn’t think that just parting my hair slightly off center could make such a huge difference but it did!! I was SO in love with it. At the end of the appointment, I was already talking to her about booking a second appointment for coloring hehehe.If you’ve reached this far, thank you for taking the time to read my review for Pang. I’ve attached pictures of my hair from before (taken sometime in July 2021) and then after (Right after my appointment Sept. 25, 2021)TLDR; My appointment went SUPER WELL and was so worth it! So if you’re still debating… just book the appointment with Pang!! She’s amazing because she gave great hair tips, is super hilarious, and is brutally honest.Thanks again, Pang! I just had my first appointment with Pang- and it was the best hair experience I’ve had! (I’ve been getting my hair done for YEARS) Pang makes you feel welcome to her clean, cute space. She took the time to get to know what I was looking for and how we could achieve it. She also provided SO many hair care tips and tricks which I really valued. I left the appointment with beautiful hair that was just what I was looking for, and new information that will help me style and keep my hair healthy. I highly recommend her.
