I really wanted to love this At The Beach since I’ve been a customer for quite sometime and just moved closer to this one. I called earlier in the day to ask about a promotion and talked to Christina. I thought our phone conversation went great and I even came in to redeem the promotion I bought online. She proceeded to say “oh yes you’re the one who hung up on me.” She said this in front of another team member (what a lovely customer service example). First off, I didn’t hang up on her I said bye and have a good night. Second, even if I had hung up sooner than she would’ve liked (which I’m guessing is the case) what type of manager says that to a customer? What was her end goal? I apologized rather than making the situation awkward. Completely unprofessional and it’s really unfortunate this At The Beach has someone like that managing it. Needless to say my mom and I will be taking our business elsewhere.

My favorite location of all I’ve been to. Kristina is always welcoming and kind. Very clean and great equipment. Quincy is also helpful. Would love to see the Grant Street location get some love as their equipment is tired and awful. The employees get trashed from the time they open the door due to the lack of good equipment and repairs for them. Great employees there who don’t deserve it. I drive 3 times as far to come to this location which is a shame. It’s worth it though. Sincerely, a customer from a long time. Love the red light!!

This is by far the cleanest location out of all the At The Beach Salons I’ve been to. I’ve noticed they be keeping up with there bulbs because their beds get nice and hot compared to other locations as well. Lastly customer service is always up-to-par.

I’m so glad the Lousville girls were able to make this spot their new home (these two are AWESOME). The place is always clean, professional and friendly. Sarah will go out of her way to help out customers and make them feel like family (she’s the best- You’ve got yourself a gold star employee At The Beach!). I can’t recommend this salon enough!

Went in for a spray tan was told a promo special so I purchased it. It was a paid in full type of membership. Once, the lady ran my payment the other staff member informed her and me she had told me the wrong information. The staff member said, “ that normally they don’t issue a refund but because of the situation she would tell the manager and I would get my money back.” She also said that she would call me the next day, after she talked to the manager. A few days passed NEVER got a call back. 25 days later in which I had to call multiple time and talk to multiple employees in which each kept telling me they saw the refund issued on my account and to be patient that it should be any day that I would receive it. Finally I was tired of getting the run around in which I talked to another manager I believe her name was krista or Kristen. She informed me she that I was indeed getting my refund and she would follow up with customer service. I get a call from Jessica from billing and she states I’m NOT getting a refund and then hanged up on me when I told her I needed to speak to someone else. Rude, unprofessional, no communication or taking responsibility for what they did wrong!

I went to this salon for a spray tan shortly before my vacation. When I walked into the salon and spoke to the customer service representative I was told one person was in front of me. I said no problem I will wait. At some point she forgot what I was even doing there and said can I help you again? I said yes I’ve been waiting on a spray tan. No problem at this point… I go into the spray tan booth which I have done many times. In fact I even worked at a tanning salon when I was younger. There was absolutely no liquid coming out of the tanning booth just air blowing me. I told the girl upfront and she was polite. Told me to come back the next day if I did not see results. I come back in the next day and I’m basically being told there was nothing wrong with the machine because nobody in front of me had an issue. I’m about as pale as it gets with not even one mark on my hand which everybody knows you get that during a spray tan. I think it was on the comment that yeah you’re not that dark and I’ll just put you in. Super rude super out of touch with customer service. I would absolutely never come back to this place. If you own a business and know you wasted someone’s time you could at least be polite about it. Don’t make your customers feel like they’re doing something wrong by expecting something for their money. 100% worst customer service I’ve had in a very long time. Not to mention when I asked the lady‘s name while leaving she said I’m not gonna tell you that… Rolled her eyes and when the next customer said what was that about said oh nothing it’s just a Friday.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. When I went in to spray tan, would have been my first time, there were two people there. One was getting a membership the other waiting to check in. The girl at the desk was working on the membership and finally asked to check in the other, now, three people waiting. I said I was a first time person to let the lady who came in after me go because I knew I would take longer. The girl said “don’t worry I’ll get you before anyone else”. Around 6 more people came in, she asks me in front of everyone “do you mind if I get them so they don’t have to wait?”. What am I supposed to say? No? So I said sure. At this point I was there around 15-20 minutes. By the end of her checking people in I was at the 25 minute mark. I finally get to the desk and ask about the coupon, which couldn’t load on my phone due to poor service at the store. I was told she had no way of helping with getting the coupon for a free first tan. So I attempt to bring it up on the website, as I do she leaves the desk to clean a bed. I was there 30 mins and left because the desk staff aren’t able to manage work flow efficiently.

Great place to tan. Mostly friendly staff. 5 different levels of beds. Only con for me is that one can’t make appointments so if one shows up to tan and the bed desired is in use, it’s a choice of waiting or coming back when the bed may be in use…

All I wanna say is that Taylor, the Assistant Manager, is an angel sent from above. My mom and I came in before they closed because we were running behind on time and we had a flight to catch early the next morning and taylor welcomed us with the sweetest smile, helped us get set up, and it was just overall the best customer service i’ve ever received. This is my new favorite “At the beach” location for sure. Thank You taylor!
