Most UNPROFESSIONAL staff and MANAGER at a Palm Beach. I cancelled my membership and I got charge for another month which I understand it’s policy, $16.45 to be exact but i also got charged an additional $32.95. I called and the manager (I don’t know how she got that position since she couldn’t help me) said she didn’t have a reason why I got charged $32.95 and that I needed to call corporate.

Critical: ProfessionalismI canceled this membership 4 months ago due to a broken back, I was told the membership was canceled however the membership withdrew 2 more times. I called again and talked to the general manager who said she canceled my membership and would have the last 2 months refunded. Not only was the last 2 months refunded but the membership withdrew AGAIN! I asked foe the corporate number to file a complaint and cancel my membership and it’s a customer service number that sends you directly to an answering machine. Seems like the only way to actually cancel this membership is to cancel my debit card so they can not withdraw again.Service: TanningI canceled this membership 4 months ago due to a broken back, I was told the membership was canceled however the membership withdrew 2 more times. Palm Beach tanning is the best tanning salon! Centrally located as far as tanning salons go, and your choice of membership levels. The employees are always friendly and helpful!

Honestly, I’ve been a customer since the summer of last year, and I hardly ever go in, but I don’t cancel my membership. I did go in just before Christmas, and got a spray tan, and it didn’t take at all. I just smelt like tanning stuff, but was no darker than when I went in. Mind you, I’ve been in at least 3 times before and had gotten one, and they turned out fine. So I called and spoke to the manager, and explained what happened, and she said it happens sometimes, to come back in whenever and we can try it again. I have a crazy schedule, so I just went in yesterday to start tanning again for my upcoming WEDDING. I had explained what had previously happened, I believe her name was HANNAH,(for sure she has the hoop nose ring)thinking she would say okay, our machine messed up, you can try it again as we had talked about, but nope! Instead tried blaming me, saying I picked too light of a color, that’s why it didn’t work. She didn’t thoroughly explain anything to me, or how any of the memberships work. I told her I would like to start using the tanning beds on my membership instead of the spray tans, since it didn’t work, and she said okay.. the gold beds? I said sure. She said,” you have a free spray tan included each month.” So I thought, oh that’s cool, I can use that as a cocktail to enhance my tan from the beds. I paid $22, and then will be charged $34 on the 1st of the month, that was kinda confusing. So, I go in room 10, and the bed kept opening up, and wouldn’t stay shut, so I got dressed and notified the manager working, what was going on. I had to wait, but she moved me to bed 11, where I tanned for 8 minutes. Got dressed and went to leave and thought I’d ask more about the “ free spray tan a month” seeing as January is almost over. There is the same girl I talked to when I first came in, and she said “ oh, no.. it was free before, now that you switched you have to pay to spray tan today”! Why couldn’t she have done her job, taken a few more seconds away from her phone and explained that instead of screwing over a customer? Made absolutely no sense. If I never have to deal with this or her again, that would honestly be great, and I’d consider not cancelling my membership.

Great place but having difficulty trying to cancel my membership. I travel with my husband and we left to go to the next job. I didn’t know you had to come in to sign something to cancel. I’m hours away and they won’t let me cancel. Is there someway I can talk to someone who can take care of the for me? I’m not going to pay for another month that I can’t tan because I’m hours away.

Nothing really special about this place but they are pretty clean. I have used their spray tanner and seem to get good results in the Versa Spa. I think they are a little over priced for what it is but still a better deal then other places in town. Sometimes staff is a little pushy on sales so just be prepared if you don’t like saying no to sales people.

This is my second month going to palm beach and I am not liking it. There are some nice and helpful ladies there but the young girl that doesnt know how to speak to customers or really how to handle any situation shouldn’t be working there. I went in to use the versa spa just like always and got sprayed and left and when I showered off half of my body was tan and the other half was NOT so I called and she said that the Vera spa had a malfunction when I had come in .. and if I go in she will let me spray for free.. but I pay for unlimited spray tans so it’s NOT free. I think if they have a malfunction with their machines they should call and see if their customers are satisfied with the turnout. Now I am going on vacation looking absolutely ridiculous. I’m canceling my membership today hopefully getting refunded for this month.

I had the worst experience at this location. The manager didn’t know any correct prices . When I finally signed up again she charged me an extra 20 dollars without my knowledge. I asked her about this she got upset. I was also concerned with the lack of knowledge on her pricing . When I asked why she didn’t know any of this she got even more upset . Immediately canceled my membership and said I was a horrible customer and she didn’t want people like me there . I was not the one giving false information. I asked for her district managers number and she refused and called the cops on me . Told me this was going to be embarrassing for me when the cops come .

Wanted to give a little feedback regarding my experience at Palm Beach Tan in Midland, TX. I was a new client starting in April of 2016 – I believe I did the Silver or Gold membership. It was about half way through April and was explained to me that I had to pay a start up fee and the entire month then May would be prorated. I went in maybe 2 or 3 times in April. I went in to tan in May and the girl at the counter tells me my bank card was rejected and she needed to rerun it. I thought that was strange since it’s my checking account and there is always money in it. I handed her my card and as I pulled it out of my wallet I realized that I had just gotten a new card because it expired May of 2016. I explained to her that it’s new and good now until May 2021 – no problem. She scans my card and then says – we charged you a $10 fee for your card being rejected in addition to the prorated May amount. For me – this is not ok. I let her know I really didn’t like finding this out AFTER she scanned my card. She blamed corporate and said there was nothing she could do. I asked her when do I need to give notice if I want to cancel – she told me and I said just set me up to cancel by the end of this month. She smiled and ok – you are good to go. Not even a sorry – give us another month – we’d like to keep your business…. whatever. The people behind the counter don’t care if “corporate” is profitable, they don’t really care about taking care of your clients and keeping them. There is no way for me (or your other clients for that matter) to know and contact all of the auto pay bills and subscriptions we have and get them a new expiration date within days of receiving a new card. If it’s a corporate policy – it should be changed. It’s not like anyone can come in and tan if their account is not current. Mostly, clients would like to be treated with respect and like we are paying for a service. Just wanted you to know that I switched to Palm Beach for newer beds but I’d rather tan in an old bed, pay a lot less and be treated like I’m valued than stay at Palm Beach. (I had auto pay at my last tanning salon for over 2 years – I have no issue paying to tan on a long term basis). I spent a little over $100 (+ the $10 fee) for around 4 tans at Palm Beach and then had this experience. I’m VERY unhappy. Sign on the door reads: “Great tan. Great experience. Guaranteed. If there is anything we can do to better meet your expectations, please contact us.” I sent an email to the address on the sign. Would just be nice to see a positive result.

Very clean, I do wish they lady that signed me up had walked me through how the beds operate and that I was given a little more knowledge about how everything works. Its reasobably priced plus when I travel my membership travels with me so I don’t have to miss out on my tanning experience.
