So I stopped by Palm Beach to set up an account for my lady, and I have to say I am impressed with the level of customer service that was displayed. Very informative and helpful staff member, (I do remember her giving her name, alas I am getting older and it is eluding me at the moment)….she made the process ridiculously easy! I was even impressed with the customers coming in while I was being assisted, pleasant and cheerful! Makes one at ease that the element of customers visiting are in good spirits, which conveyed the business is doing a great job at taking care of them. I feel confident that my lady will enjoy being a customer of this organization. Thank you Palm Beach for holding good standards for your front people to welcome new customers! Cheers

I hate the 24 hr rule. My schedule is different daily but I like to tan once a day. If I go at 7pm Monday I can’t go til after 7pm the next day when I need to go at 530pm!

Critical: ProfessionalismMy tan was great, the staff was kind but then I left my wedding ring and a ring handed down to me by my great grandmother in the spray tan room. It was 30 minutes before closing and I realized it after they closed. I arrived 30 minutes before they opened frantic to find them. I knocked on the door and the girl would not even open the door to speak to me. She looked behind the desk and told me there were no rings and that I would have to come back when they were open. I waited in my car, came back in and patiently waited while she checked in 3 customers before she would even make eye contact to tell me she checked the spray tan room and found nothing. I had to push her to call a manager who said she saw nothing but confirmed there were people who sprayed after me and said they would have cleaned it in between. There are cameras in the hall, but after I called the police to come out she told him they were fake. She gave me a number to call corporate and hours later someone called back to tell me they had done all they could do. I understand it’s my fault, trust me I have shed all the tears, but the effort put forth to help identify who went in that room after me and the sympathy shown were next none. If you go here, please don’t make the mistake of leaving anything valuable in the room. I don’t expect them to be able to find everything left behind, but to have shown some concern and effort in identifying who entered the room next would have been nice.** edited to add that the response to this review is for show. Critical: ProfessionalismI’ve been a customer for six months. Until yesterday. I paid $100 per month with the exception of pausing it temporarily while I was in Florida last summer. Don’t be mislead- when you pause, you’re still charged $8.99 per month via EFT which is required to have a membership. The $8.99 per month is “credited to your account for when you return”. What if you decide not to go back? You’re money is gone!!! They aren’t giving it back. Early last week prior to the 25th which is the cut off date to pause (they won’t draft the entire $100 just the $8.99), I asked the ASM if/how I could recoup the days lost during the inclement weather when they were closed, because I had paid for them. She told me she would give me a $10 credit (which isn’t much, but better than nothing). I told her I needed to know that for sure because that was going to be the determining factor as to whether I terminated my membership or not. She promised she would. What she did NOT tell me was the credit wouldn’t be applied to this months EFT. I was reviewing my bank transactions yesterday and noticed an EFT to Palm Beach Tans in the amount of $103. I immediately called and spoke to Daily, the manager. First, I wanted to know when it went to $103, as I was never told of an increase and second, why was my $10 credit not applied. She immediately said the $10 is a credit to use in store. In store for what???? I’ve bought lotion one time and I never use it. I then explained to her that that should have been explained at the time the credit was given. Then she had the audacity to say well you shouldn’t leave your credit card information… I stopped her immediately. First of all EFT is required for a membership. Secondly, if there’s no contract, how can they add $3 to the amount they withdraw from your bank account without your knowledge and approval? They can’t. It constitutes fraud. It was a fraudulent transaction, a theft, because I did not authorize it or sign any documentation for the increase. At that point she said, “I’m going to refer you to customer care. I can’t handle this. You are being very rude”. No, what she couldn’t handle was my assertiveness and her inability to justify or even explain why they had stolen from my account. I understand $10 and $3 is not a lot of money. However, when you’re told something by somebody (in this case the ASM, who for all intents and purposes is fully representing that company at the time) and they knew this was a determining factor for whether I would continue or terminate my membership altogether, it’s their ethical responsibility to tell you how that money will be credited. I called customer care and left a message. I’ve yet to hear from them. I called the salon back and asked if Daily was there. She was until she found out it was me and then suddenly she had just left. I left a message that if my bank account was not immediately credited the $103, I will call my bank and report a fraudulent charge, I will call the police department because it is a theft and I will call the Attorney General’s Office and ask for an investigation. If they did this to me, how many others have they stolen from? It’s not the money, it’s the principal. Their “credits” aren’t really credits if you have no plans of buying anything from them. BEWARE!!! It’s a nice, clean salon with nice employees but they stole from me and it not right. Again BEWARE. Things aren’t always as they appear- remember wolves come sometimes disguised as sheep. Check your bank records. You might be surprised what you find. This is not going away.Service: TanningI’ve been a customer for six months. Until yesterday. I did not receive a sunless tan today, but my girlfriend did. In preperation for her brothers wedding. The service was great, staff explained how everything was ganna go and what to expect. All and all sounded sweet and easy. Then it was time to actually enter the spray booth. It took forever and I mean that. Now I have had to wait for my lady before on ladys day but never like this. She had a malfunction on the machine that would tell her cancellation. Over and over. That took awhile then after that fix there was a change cartridge issue. It was suppose to take 20 min or less. 1 and a half hrs it took. So to recap. North Little Rock Palm Beach Tan. Priced right at 65. Bucks my lady looks outstanding. Staff was stupendous! Length of time. 1hr 10min to long. Surely it was a fluke.
