I always hate leaving a negative review, but sometimes necessary, unfortunately. AVOID this business if you are a new tanner. They have horrible customer service, and you will not get reimbursement for their services, even if you want to cancel (or not use a bed) after it hits your bank account. They will tell you that they cannot reimburse you and call corporate. I was recently at the Veterans location and the manager had a meltdown, screamed, tossed a paper over the counter, and stomped off after trying multiple times to stop a package charge. Corporate customer service is no better than standing behind this behavior. I’ve never witnessed a manager behave this way inside a business. I do understand it’s hard being a manager, but I was shocked witnessing it firsthand. Nonetheless, if you look at google, they are a monopoly in the greater Lafayette area and leaving tanners with no other vendors. I also witnessed in line, numerous times at this location, other customers upset with wrong charges, added fees, poor customer service, etc., so it isn’t just me. Even if you have had no issues, I would be very cautious in giving access to your credit card for recurring package charges. If you already did, I highly recommend paying attention to their charges monthly and being prepared to have no backing if you want out. Reading a recent PBT press release, they are now expanded to over 650 locations, this is great for them–but as we know, big corporations often don’t care about the small folks at the bottom.

I’ve not tanned in over 20+ years. Last tanning place I went to was in California and only to find out the owner had hidden cameras for,,,well you know,,, needless to say I quit after he was caught, arrested and charged. Thankful his wife turned him in. Palm Beach staff is super kind was very informative when I thought I need to start again since I’m healed from that trauma…I’m looking forward to going a Friday after this week.
