Critical: QualityI agree with Autumn’s review on Bri. I went on Friday morning and to a doctor appt at West Chester. I drove home after these two stops and realized I left my debit card. I live in DAYTON do I called. The girl on the phone said she couldn’t confirm or deny it’s there for security. So I made the 45 minute trip, and Bri said that she looked in my room but no it’s not there. I said sure would have been a customer of years and really any customer stressed out about losing the debit card to save them a trip. She kept repeating, “it’s policy, I cannot or my staff tell you it’s here or not on the phone.” Mind you I knew the number by heart,expiration and security code, and no I had to waste the trip.I said I understand if you find a card that you would need a policy such as we need a photo idea and possible another form of ID to claim it but to not say yes we found a card in your room or not, does not make sense. I asked her what I was missing trying to understand this policy. And all she said over and over condescending, “this is palm beach tan policy”. Not customer friendly and policy makers no sense. I was going here for awhile, I stopped my account in November but they talked me into suspension for the account instead. 8.00 to hold my price and it would go into an account that I could tap when I wanted to tan. I went in July for a spray tan for my wedding so there went 35.00 and they told me when I closed out the account that I would have 20.00 on the books, so basically their keeping my money. The manager was very smug about it as well. So I would not recommend their club!!! Pay as you go because I’m still being charged for September even though they kept 20.00 of my money. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB!!!! Also I’m pretty sure I had more than 50.00 in the account. I will be doing math tonight!!!

Critical: ProfessionalismUNPROFESSIONAL – BRIANNA VICARELFriday February 29 of 2021 I ‘googled’ local Palm Beach Tan locations. Thankfully I found a location approximately 15 minutes from my place of employment. I arrived and was greeted with a chatty and friendly manager. I provided my name and then was informed by the manager that an upgrade fee would apply for my sunless tan visit today. (I am actively a gold level sunless tan membership) I questioned as to why a upgrade fee was going to be charged and she informed me that it was because they did not have a sunless bed available in my level due to their Mystic Spa being ‘broken’ (which is in my level) and their Versa being a ‘Versa Pro’ (which is not in my level). I replied that upon my opening an account with Lebanon PBT that I was told I could use any PBT and that I was not informed that their would be any type of upgrade charge. She replied, “well you can use any but it is with un upgrade fee.” I informed her that this was misleading to the customer and that if the Mystic IS within my level that it is not this customers fault that it is out of service and that I should not be charged an upgrade fee. I also informed her that I had drove 15 minutes to this location due to being informed that I could use any location (and obviously not informed of the ‘upgrade’ fee) The manager, who upon arrival was all so friendly, suddenly turned into a snide and unprofessional employee. She stated that she would do it this one time and waive the fee but not again. She then began aggressively typing and typed for approximately 2 minutes while this customer waited on the booth to be ready. She made it extremely obvious that she was unpleased with our interaction and that she was typing something into my account. During the time of my waiting I asked her if a list was available online of the locations that I could use ; she began ranting off locations instead of answering my question. I am extremely dissatisfied with the unprofessionalism of the manager whose name is Brianna Vicarel. I plan on cancelling my PBT membership due to the lack of professionalism from this manager of Palm Beach Tan West Chester, Ohio. Terrible customer service. I have run retail stores for a decade now and very rarely experience this level of unprofessionalism. I called in to ask a question about a referral card my friend gave me. The girl on the phone told me I had to go in so they could see the card and get an answer on how to go about using it. No big deal, as I work nearby. I went in as soon as we got off the phone. When I entered, I stood in front of one of the two front desk associates and neither one even looked up at me until I said hi and began talking. Then they kept looking down at their computers the entire conversation, which was a very short one. They were both curt and unfriendly, giving me their best non answers on how often one tans or how the new memberships work (I have never been in a tanning salon, I’ve always tanned in the sun), until I just gave up and left. They said nothing to me as I left either and had me standing there in an awkward silence. It made me wonder if it could have been a racial issue or some other prejudice reason the way they spoke to me. I ripped up the referral card as soon as I left and my friend who referred me is now cancelling with them.
