I have been a loyal Palm Beach Tan customer for about 10 years. I switched to spray tans vs tanning bed about 4 years ago and have never had a problem. I use the versa spa specifically. I visited the Covington location for the first time this week and could not believe how dirty the store was. There was dirt and leaves all over the floor when I walked in. Maybe my standards are too high after being at the Hyde Park location for so long, but I went into the versa spa anyways. As the machine started up I immediately noticed that the spray was light and I could barely feel any of it on my skin. I didn’t even have to use the dry time at the end. I went out to the front desk to tell the person working that the machine was out of liquid and when she went to check she said “oh yeah it is out I’ll let my manager know in the morning” instead of offering to refill it so I could use the versa spa, use a different shade, or a different machine, etc. She did nothing to try and fix the situation and I left the store as pale as I went in. Very upsetting experience this Palm Beach location.

I honestly don’t believe I would make the trip to Latonia which is out of my way if it where not fore the help and courtesy she has gone above and beyond to show me.

I was rushed through. The spray tan burned my skin. The only part of my body that tanned was my hands, and it was uneven. I have used Palm Beach tan in Indiana, and the spray tan didn’t burn. The manager was supposed to credit my charges beacsur I paid $79 and only got to use the spray tan once in two months. They are trying to charge me $59 dollars here.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueBesides the fact that the place is always very clean with a friendly staff (with the exception of one young lady who I believe was the manager, had an awful attitude even though I was buying a package) but today all the stars that girl would’ve cost em were earned back. There was a young lady who’s name was Chloe who’s customer service was a step above. I’ve been a District Manager before & if my employees went the extra mile like she did today I would be ecstatic. Without me even asking she explained throughly all the questions I had. Made sure I got the correct pricing for my extras according to the package I have. Which I would’ve never known if she would’ve just not bothered. I changed my mind like 3 times & not once did I feel she was annoyed, only more eager to help. I feel she needs to be noticed for this because it’s wayyy to often that customers & people reviewing only point out their bad experiences. Well, mine was great & not only that, thanks to Chloe I know exactly what I want from now on. Thanks Chloe for making my tanning an actual fun & enjoyable experience! Besides the fact that the place is always very clean with a friendly staff (with the exception of one young lady who I believe was the manager, had an awful attitude even though I was buying a package) but today all the stars that girl would’ve cost em were earned back. I really enjoyed going here, as I’m new from Canada and needed a new tanning salon I could commit to long term. I signed up here and the staff were all great. Unfortunately, I had to have emergency eye surgery and my eye was sewn shut for two weeks and told I couldn’t tan for at least a year. I called immediately because I was told by the manager that I could cancel at anytime, which also appealed to me because I travel sometimes for months at a time. Today, I subsequently was billed again so I called and the account was never cancelled. I was told that I need to call back tomorrow to have the manager process a refund. I plan to come back to this location once I am safe to tan again, but it really depends on whether or not they provide reimbursement. Otherwise, I will have to go somewhere else.
