I’ve been a loyal ultra tan customer for well over 15 years, and if they were not the only tanning establishment near me I’d cancel my membership immediately. I agree 100% with the other reviews regarding this particular location having very obvious staffing issues. This is the 4th time I have driven over here, over an hour after their posted opening time, to find the door locked. In addition to that their are several lights on and a vacuum cleaner laying out on the lobby floor. It appears someone is inside, so I knocked, as always, and nothing. I guess this is how they left the store at closing last night? If you don’t have the staff, and can’t seem to open at your set opening times please update your hours online and get an OPEN sign to save us the added frustration of walking up to find the door locked! I didn’t want to give up on UT, but I’ve got to find a new place to tan because this is a total waste of my money!

I have been going to this salon since the day they opened. I’ve never been a huge fan of Ultra Tan, but I do like to have a nice base before summer arrives. So, they originally had a lot of super friendly employees and recently they staged a mass walk out and were quite literally working their only remaining employee to death. She said she was working back to back doubles. I went ahead and just canceled my membership the last time I was there. After seeing the employees arguing in front of customers and dirty beds over and over, waiting in long lines after they closed their woodruff road location abruptly, I decided it was time. I stopped by tonight to finish out the month i paid for and the hours had changed. The salon closed an hour early without any warning. The employee had the door locked with another friend/customer inside and mouthed to me “they’re closed”. As I walked away frustrated, I could hear their laughter. Literally laughed at me. I won’t ever use another Ultra Tan again. If they want quality employees and quality management, they need to dig deeper into their pockets and pay more. Paying your employees $8 an hour and your managers $12 an hour is not going to bring you quality, professional employees who want to stay. You’re going to continue to have a high turnover rate and mass walk-outs when you pay people little to nothing, barely minimum wage. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Twice in one month I came to tan and the salon was closed because they do not have staff. And when I tan the supposedly new salon with new beds has beds that has bulbs that continuously do not work. I tanned at Exotic Tan and after they closed Planet Fitness and NEVER had these issues. This salon is extremely poorly run and you absolutely do not get what you are paying for. I am most likely going to discontinue my membership!!!!
