I have been visiting the Chester Palm Beach Tan for about a year. The staff really makes the experience tanning there amazing. Haley is just awesome. She remembers me by name and is so welcoming. Thank you to Andrea, Kennah, and Haley and everyone else there. I definitely recommend this location. 🙂

I usually am so pleased when I come into this location as well as the colonial heights location but today I went around 4:30 to the Chester location and the person who helped me was beyond rude. I asked for a stand up bed which she stated she didnt have available, yet there was one lady in the waiting area waiting on a bed and the other two stand up beds were available but I decided to go in a level 4 bed and I wanted to spray tan as well. She never set my tanning bed to turn on so I called and asked to have them reset, not that big of a deal. I came out and the other person working was explaining a membership to someone and the rude lady wasn?t visible but I heard the spray bed talking so I walked back and she was in the room. She looked at me and didn?t say anything and continued to mess with the bed. She walked past and said that she would be right back. I asked as she was walking away if I could stand in front of the fan and she threw her hand up and gave me the thumbs up as she was walking down the hall. I stood there for about five minutes and looked down the hall and she was not on the way back. I walked back to the front and she was helping a new customer and I asked if I could come back because I had dinner plans. She proceeded to stop helping the customer and try to hand me the spray solution, which she could have easily done prior to helping the new customer. I said no that I had dinner plans and would return. I understand we all have bad days but this was excessively rude especially when I pay good money each month for my membership not to mention I?m always buying lotions, body wash, and candles. When I came back the other girl was there alone and she was very helpful and nice. She said she heard the whole situation but did not see the thumbs up down the hall due to her explaining the membership to a new customer.

Went in today only 1 associate working, waited for 15 minutes to get into a room, ended up having to cancel and leave. Recommend additional associates during peak season lunchtime. Had her check in 5 other people and clean beds before she even touched the room I was waiting for….

Iv been a member at palm beach tan for over 2 years now. This specific location has awful customer service. I’m very happy with my tan when I leave, everything is clean and stocked well. I don’t want to name any names, but certain girls who work here make it a head ache just to come in and tan. I’m pressured and almost forced to buy a product even if I don’t need or want it. The girls here seem very nice at first, almost to the point it seems fake. As soon as you tell them you do not need to purchase anything they get attitudes and make faces at you. I understand they want to make a sale, but I just want to come in and have a relaxing experience and not feel pressured or treated less than because I don’t want to purchase something. Iv dumped plenty of money into this company over the years so I shouldn’t have to buy something every time I walk in the door. The colonial heights location is only 15 mins away and I rather drive the extra 15 so I don’t have to deal with them. Maybe some customer service training or different management at the Chester location would be beneficial.
