Within six hours of getting the gel manicure, it already started to chip, and 48 hours out, they look so bad I am going to have to go somewhere else to get them taken off. The quality does not match the $40 price tag. On the upside, it was very clean and the salon was pretty, but that doesn’t change the fact that they did a horrible job. Paint Nail Bar is such a friendly and inviting environment. I love knowing that the health of my natural nail is so important to the nail techs. I have been going to Paint for a year, not because of the products but because of the service. The nail tech I booked with every time is amazing. Unfortunately they have a strict 24 hour cancellation fee. I was charged $64 for the service and gratuity because I did not cancel within the 24 hour window. I am not upset about the cancellation fee. I am upset about the cost of it. Absolutely charge a cancellation fee, but the cost of the service and the gratuity for $64! I love the customer service and my time with my nail tech, but to charge that much for a cancellation fee is crazy. I’m sad to say I won’t be going back.

This salon is by appointment only but you can always call and see if they have availability that day. The black nails I posted are Gel-X extensions (it’s a fancy press on nail) they do the press on and then add your polish and design. It’s great if you want longer nails and your natural are short. The blue nails are gel with a quickly overlay. The overlay makes them strong so no worries about chipping or breaking your nail. The girls are so knowledgeable and sweet. I love going here. Will never go to another salon again.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityWe scheduled our appointments over a week in advance and made the hour drive for a girls day with my daughter only to be told they had not booked us correctly. We were very specific about what we wanted when we booked! We were even asked if we had acrylics already on our nails which we made sure not to. We were told they did not book us for extensions!?! So we were told they would not be able to hep us unless we just wanted something on our natural nail…. I even offered to give up my appointment so that my daughter could have a nice day! Of course they said no. They showed absolutely no effort to try in the least to help. They did offer to reschedule us but I’d rather reschedule and use my money somewhere else. I tried my best to as polite as I could but needless to say it completely ruined our day. I loved this place until my last experience there. I went on 6/21 for a gel set. I booked the appointment with any available staff- which was a mistake… I normally use Roxy, and she does a great job! But this time, my tech was someone else. First, she didn’t seem very willing or confident to try what I wanted (which was 2 tone French tips… seemed fairly simple) so I settled for a single all-over color. She also didn’t soak my nails for very long or scrape the leftover glue from the press on nails I told her I’d had on since I hadn’t been able to get in for an appointment in a while because I’d been out of town. I also asked for a tip for 1 of my nails that was broken and she told me she couldn’t do it, because I was booked for gel only and she didn’t have time because she had another appointment after mine. That’s okay, no biggie. She did my nails, but the process was much shorter than usual. 2 days later, 2 of my nails started to chip. I called and they told me to come in and they would fix them. A different girl did fix them- and she did a great job and was friendly. Over the weekend, 5 days after initial manicure, the polish started to peel off my nails, in one piece. This happened to FIVE of my nails. I called today, (Monday, one week after original set) and was told I’d just need to set an appointment to get a new set. I explained I’d only had these for a week and that they started to chip and peel off, after just days. The girl was nice but explained that there were 4 girls out for continuing education.. and that by the time they could get me in (Saturday) I’d just probably want to pay for a new set. No offer of a discount. No “let me see if I can work you in sooner or let you know if there’s a cancellation”
